The course was in great 👍shape the pace of play was excellent no one pushing us no one was holding us up beautiful scenery 👍 with the lakes and rivers we will return 😀 thanks for a wonderful round
Weeds everywhere.
Pro shop and starters not friendly. weeds on every green. Nice layout, needs work.
I was passing thru and used Tee off to choose a course, this was reasonalby priced and good for walking, the course was in great shape, not too much trouble and I scored well for a senior, would recommend to a friend
Needs Course Management
We were early for our tee time and were at the starters shack about 7 or 8 minutes ahead of our tee time. Starter was a unhappy person who barely spoke Stike one. He informed us we were behind the group over there and pointed. There was a group of 7 waiting ahead of us, a group of four on the tee and another threesome on the fairway. I guess we all had the same tee time, Strike two. The group ahead of us hit multiple balls, multiple times searched for their gold encrusted balls for hours, no marshalls in site. We finished our round in 5 hours 45 minutes Strike three. Never coming back.
Wet!
I’m no grounds keeper but the fairways were very wet and not much turf.
I understand keeping the course watered under extreme heat but it was in the 70’s this week.
With the threat of rain all week.
Almost like they’ve been over played.
The greens were in great shape!
I always enjoy playing on Jekyll Island, it’s beautiful.
Overall good course to play
Course was in good shape and fun to play. Just needs a few tweaks to make it great. No ice was available for coolers and they don't allow personnel ones. Need to place divot repair boxes throughout course because every carts sand bottles were empty. Need to consider hiring a beverage cart operator or two because getting a drink from club house bar takes way to long. Overall I would highly recommend playing this course for the scenery and close interactions with the wildlife the venture across the fairway during play
Great course and very peaceful
This course is very peaceful even with people behind you the way it’s laid out you do not feel rushed.
Plenty of traps
Booked round at Pine Lakes, but was switched to Indian Mound because a group of 32 went off just before me. Pine Lakes reviews were better than the other 2, but because of pace of play, I got moved. Played through another single who was walking. Only 2.5 hrs to play. Excellent new carts. Greens were very slow and most all had some crab grass in them. Plenty of well placed sand traps and had sufficient sand. Unraked due to rains from 2 days before. Cart path only. Full service restaurant open until 9pm. Pro shop well stocked.
Decent
It a bad course but it’s obvious it doesn’t get the same amount of attention as Indian mound. Greens were dirty. Biggest issue was that the pin positions were not at the position they were supposed to be in. And different holes were in different pin positions.
Pace was exceptionally slow.
Three groups around tee box at a time.
No marshall
Food fun
Due to rain the soil of course was saturated with water. This made it hard tot play but the sun made it very comfortable after all . Due to a group of five in front of us (this should be prohibited) made it a very long play just till dawn.
