Beautiful course and super friendly
it is a gorgeous and massive course, im relatively new to golf and even as a beginner it is a great course, great condition, and beautiful greens hole 4 and 7 are stunning.
It seems a bit daunting since there's houses on the course so that can be daunting but really not that bad. other than that and wishing the cart came around more, it's great.
a note to beginners: I played twilight when i went and we were about the last ones on the course then and could take our time. played 9 holes just fine w a 3pm tee time
Continues to be the best course around
Played Carter several times now. The place is nearly perfect. This Saturday morning was slow due to so many playing, but had a good time anyway. The bar staff is fantastic and this is the first time I have eaten there.... Do yourself a favor and get a bacon turkey melt at the turn and go low on the back 9.
Best course for 250 miles (for less than $100)
This course is dang near immaculate. Beautiful course, beautiful scenery, beautiful homes. Carts are comfortable with gps, Bluetooth music, weather, etc. greens are true and FAST. Tee boxes and greens in great shape. Every hole is a new adventure. You’ll never get bored. Only negative is that the course is pretty spread out.
Tee time comes with 25 range balls
Very Nice Course
Very nice and well maintained course, staff was very nice and helpful. Definitely a course I enjoyed playing and will recommend to friends and family.
Length of grass on Tee boxes and fairways is too long
This is a beautiful golf course great layout greens always putt great!
Unfortunately the grass Length on the tee boxes fairways in fringes is way too long. A few times I went there and the course had a little rain so I gave them a benefit of the doubt and they probably didn’t want to cut it short and burn it. The course is dry the last few times and still the length of grass is too long it’s hard to catch solid contact. I’m getting flyer lies out of the fairway and it’s almost impossible to trust putting from the fringe It’s very thick and easy to chunk chip shots. The course is already tough to play but this is making it even harder to score well. I can understand higher handicaps may enjoy the fluffiness of the grass but it has been way too long for years. Maybe this is some maintenance practice that this type of Bermuda can’t be cut short but it’s frustrating.
Very nice
Always nice. Challenging coarse with perfect greens.
Great shape
Staff friendly, course in great shape. Greens rolled pretty well and had great pace. Bar/restaurant staff were very nice and food was good.
Superb
The course was in really good condition considering they are protecting the course from the heat. The grass on the fairways and tees was slightly longer to keep the grass from burning out. Great layout and the greens were slick. Did a full review and video at GolfNola.com. Will be back soon.
Fun time at Carter
Course and greens were in excellent condition. First time I have played since hurricane. The course has rebounded and presents a tough but fair challenge.
Great Experience
Excellent facilities, very friendly staff; single was no problem, staff and members very accommodating; played 18 holes in under 3 hours; thank you!
Amazing Course
This was our first time playing this course. It blew my mind. Everywhere from the staff, the Pro Shop, the range and especially the condition of the greens. We booked on a Saturday morning and it was $90. You can find midweek deals for $40. This will be our home course from now on.
