Worth the drive.
Great course, in magnificent shape!
Top 5 around New Orleans.
Carter Plantation
Evidently they swapped the front and back, they didn’t bother mentioning, and they had NO signage
Golf round
Course was in excellent shape The range staff was really bad. As I had to wait 30 minutes for balls as the two kids had no interest in getting balls
One of best courses in area!
It’s been quite a few years since I played Carter Plantation and I’m so glad I decided to go back recently! They’ve made many beneficial changes but the most outstanding was the touch screen gps in every cart: I didn’t have to use any of the apps that I normally do or my range finder once, it gives detailed info on current pin location, you can touch to see distance to hazards, and it even provided the slope each green for your approach shots!! To top it all off, you’re able to connect via Bluetooth and play music from the cart, and order food through the system as well! Was thoroughly impressed and feel like every course needs to have this same system in place! Will definitely be back soon. The one negative was the lack of an on course Marshal, there was a group 2 in front of hours that drastically slowed play on the front 9 and it would have been nice to have someone tell that they needed to let others play through or pick up their PCs of play.
Busy
On first nine holes we had to wait on every hole. Finally let us play thru at 10 and never waited again.
The best course in the STATE of Louisiana. The only drawback was the pace of play. Obviously the members don't care about etiquette.
You have a great staff and an excellent menu. The course was in excellent condition and the play of golf ran smoothly.
Not worth price
Conditions not as good as other courses at less cost
Course was in great shape but the pace of play was slow a give some in front was slow did not take sand bunker after hitting their sand shot and not care about the backup
Different from my last experience
I’m happy to say, this was a very pleasant experience, then my last visit were they overbooked tee times and pace of play was horrible. Pace of play was great, even though it was cart path only, greens were in amazing shape. Glad I didn’t give up on this course
