Bunkers not maintained
Bunkers on this course are not maintained most are mud holes.
Overall Nice Course
Course was in good condition. All the san traps had standing water in them. a pain to retrieve balls, All where unplayable lies. Staff was very helpful.
Always fun and challenging to play.
Piece of clay was a little slower than normal because of a threesome that was struggling with the course. Keep in mind that could happen anywhere.
Over booked
Had 4 groups booked for 9:50am. Worst pace of my life took 5hours to play 18holes
Ken
Good course and would come back to play more times.
Kenneth
Very good course I would come back and play couple times a year.
Excellent golf experience
The course was in excellent condition. Only comment would be the greens were very slow. The layout is a great challenge that requires a variety of shot making skills. We will continue to make the trip to play Rocky Gap. I
Beautiful Course
It was a little soggy for it heavily rained shortly before our tee time which limited us to the cart paths. Great weather for us though amongst a beautiful setting.
Rocky Gap in Western MD
Very nice layout. Front nine mostly in woods and hilly. Back nine mostly out in open and less hilly. Staff went out of their way to be helpful.
We like this course.
Not that the course can control this but, be prepared for an abundance of nats & bugs flying around you.
Only to escape the casino
I have played here on and off since it opened. It was in adequate shape-usually it is in awful shape. Many problems still-Its not on Ghin so you cant play a proper match. The starter never/ever has your tee time if you have made it on Golf Now.Quite comical because they use the same excuse every year. Biggest issue now by far is what they did with tees and scorecard. They got rid of 2 sets of tees.So now the blue tees play all the way back.Skip 2 -4 tee boxes on every hole and thats were the white tees are now.At most 5800 yards.I played blue at 6800--So I do not suggest a mixed tee of golfers-so scrap the multi group outings.Course regular rates way too high and prices for food/drinks absurd.--Like I said only play to get to casino and take a break from.
