Gorgeous

This course was amazing to play. The conditions were absolutely prime. The pace of play for a 9:10am was amazing. We were not paired up with anyone, and we had no one in front or behind us until we caught up with single player 12 holes in. The fairways were very well kept. They were wide and easy to find, but if you missed a fairway you found trouble really quick on a lot of holes. There is a practice green, driving range and chipping green at the clubhouse. It paid dividends to spend some time there before heading out. The layout was excellent and each hole presented it's own challenges. Pin placement was questionable on some of the holes, but still fun.
If you are staying at Ocean's edge this is must play course while you're there.

Beautiful, Daunting, and a Great Time

Ocean Edge is such a pleasant place to play. It was not crowded at all, probably due to cost, covid, and the heat of July. This made the pace of play excellent combined with the serene quiet that could take you away from the cares of the day.

The course conditions were absolutely excellent. Tee boxes, fairways, rough, and greens are kept pristine by the club and its members. The fairways are pretty wide, but if you get into trouble, it's hard to get out. Beyond the first cut or the tall, sparse brown grass, your ball is lost. The course has significant elevation changes and a few turns, punctuated by strategically placed bunkers. There aren't really any water features. Finally, the greens are large, multi-level, inclined affairs.

The par 3s are not easy, despite what the scorecard says. Whether the green is wedged around multiple bunkers or is completely hidden downhill by a rough hazard, you have to hit it just right to avoid a bogey or worse. The par 5 9th is fun and accurately rated the course's most difficult. After a dogleg and downhill, you come upon a downhill, rough lateral hazard. Unless you lay up close to the hazard, its a long iron to make the green in regulation. Oh, and it isn't a straight shot over the hazard either.

If you ever stay at the Ocean Edge resort, which is great on its own, you absolutely must play here.

Nice layout

The course was a nice layout with the Par 5 seventeenth being the most interesting hole. The greens rolled fast and true. Excellent course although on the expensive side.
