What a golf course excellent condition, greens were like putting on glass. The overall condition of the course was fantastic.
The staff and the 19th hole were excellent as well.
Looking forward to playing there again

nice place
Played with the Safari club and had a great day of golf with fantastic folks. The course is scenic and has some tough sloping greens. The fairways and rough were in great condition.
Perfect golf day!!
Golfed with the Safari Club on Wednesday.
The course is wonderful, greens challenging, the views breathtaking and the staff amazing.
This course is a challenge but accessible and the conditions and weather were perfect for a great round of golf. Can't wait to return!!
Great Track
Played this last week with the Safari Club. Challenging layout, and given the heavy rain the night before, there wasn't much roll in the fairways, but course was in very good condition. Enjoyable round. Staff were very friendly and accomodating and I definitely would play it again -- especially in the Fall when the foliage must be spectacular.
Hidden Gem!
I played here with my friends in the Safari Club, and again, I was not disappointed. The course was in excellent condition and the greens were medium fast, as long as your ball was below the hole.
The staff was friendly and accommodating. The greens are being expanded this year, which is a good thing.
I can't wait to play it again! (Hopefully in the fall with the Safari Club) A great autumn course for leaf peeping golfers!
Super day of Golf
I played with the Safari Golf Club on Wed. and we had a great time. The course was in excellent condition and the greens were fast put true. If you were below the hole the putting was much better. Above the hole speed was critical . The staff was outstanding and we had a full group 144 people . If I have the chance I well go back and play a second round.
Note: we saw a black bear run across the course on front nine and a red fox took a look at us on the back nine. We had a super game of golf.
Safari Club Event
You should put this course on your must play list. It is in great condition and is very well run. The greens are true and a test of your putting skills. I can't wait to play this course again.
Safari Club at Cranwell
I played the Cranwell Golf Resort course in Lenox, MA with the Safari Club yesterday and it was fantastic. The course was great, the people were great, the food was great and even the weather cooperated.
If you have an opportunity, everyone should go to play this course. We also saw great wildlife while playing our round.
Beautiful setting
We played this course with The Safari group and with 140 players, the pace of play was good for the number of players. Cranwell is a very well maintained course with beautiful views. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Golfing in the Berkshires
A beautiful to spend a day. Course layout is varied and challenging. Staff is friendly and 19th hole has both a restaurant and a patio. Views are spectacular. Highly recommended. I played there with The Safari Club of western Massachusetts.
Cranwell in the Berkshires
Had a great day with the Safari Club yesterday at Cranwell. The course is in excellent condition, the staff was very helpful and the weather was fantastic in the Berkshires. The course was challenging but lots of fun to play. A great day on a super course.
Spectacular
Traveling back to a gilded time is what one experiences when traversing the scenic beauty of this spectacular golf venue tucked away in the heart of the Berkshires. Sharing this experience with 140 other Safari Club members on an absolutely beautiful day in late May made the whole experience even that much more "spectacular". This is a must play venue for anyone looking for a very special experience through a round of golf.
A treat to play Cranwell with The Safari Club!
I played Cranwell with The Safari Club on May 24th and a full field enjoyed absolutely beautiful weather, conditions and great company!
The course was immaculate with beautiful fairways, greens that were fast and true and great scenery that was enjoyed by everyone who played!
I will lay there again in the fall when the leaves are turning! Thanks for having The Safari Club!
Excellent course
Played the course today with the Safari Club and had a very good time. Course was in good condition. Staff personal were very nice to deal with. Great time.
Just Go
Okay, the layout is great. The maintenance is excellent. The course is challenging. The staff is friendly and yes, the 19th hole has wonderful food and drink. But don't go for those reasons. Go because the whole place is just beautiful. The course, the views, the grounds and the facilities are just plain gorgeous. I played there again this year with the Safari Club and I was blown away once more. Just go!
Safari Road Trip
Love the Berkshires and in particular this course which is scenic and has many challenging holes Fairways and Greens were in pristine shape A definite come back course
Safari Club Oyting
Just got back from playing with the Safari Club. Had a grate time. Very nice course. Very good shape. Lots of elevated greens and down in a hollow greens. First time I broke 100 there. Will play there again.
Cranwell is a treat to play.
I played with the Safari club on a beautiful day in May
from the green tees. I found the holes to be nicely varied in elevation and length. Fairways and greens in excellent condition. The Berkshires provided a beautifully scenic golf experience. Facilities were top notch.
Rough Around the Edges
Been a while since I played Cranwell and it was as scenic as I remember. Course is very nice but could use a little help, and they have to do something about a few of the greens, which will just frustrate the heck out of you.
Big rain storm the night before and they course was soggy in spots, a quagmire in others, so drainage is an issue. Not unusual for a mountain course. Unfortunately my lasting memory will be of the many greens that can only be called stupid. On more than one green, my friend dropped a ball out of his hand at or right near the hole, only to watch it roll away. On one or two greens the ball rolled all the way off. Very frustrating. We played the back 9 with a regular who told us that is a constant complaint about the course, especially from folks who have never played there.
I would say the course has great potential to be a real gem. Just needs a bit of updating.
