No circumstance worth paying full price
A classic example of an owner not putting money back into his business. We started by booking our tee time on the website that said $65 for twilight but when we got into the club house they told us it was $100 then when we asked the manage (a real a hole) to match the golf now price he said he couldn’t so we canceled our tee time and then booked it through here for $65 which we thought was a good deal until we got to the first tee box. Clover covered the whole fairway, greens were soft and wet, weeds in the bunker and when I went to use the ball washer on the cart that could’ve been from the 80s there was no water or soap in them. It’s sad because the course has beautiful views, great layout and a lot potential. Overall very underwhelming.
Beautiful Coirse
Looks like a hidden secret. Incredible round in awesome atmosphere. Not busy. No on course amenities. Never saw a Sole the whole round. Love it. Need to upgrade golf shop etc. otherwise spectacular.

Great course for the price, didn't see another golfer all day.
A definite must play
Love the course. Employees are awesome. Friendly and very helpful. Will play again.
Course Is average condition. Understandably. But well worth the money. The layout is challenging and exciting. Views are awesome.
Don’t pass up on a chance to play.
Amazing scenery
Course is in great condition with some of the best views in the area.
Top 25?
Interesting golf course, Played yesterday for the first time, Conditions were below average for a public course, The greens were very slow but challenging. The course winds through the mountains, there are some very tough holes, Overall trying to understand how this is rated as a top 25 in the US?? Very misleading.
Golf carts are gas and at least 30 years old.
I would not recommend this course as there are many other public courses in the area that have much better conditions and less expensive,
I am a regular CC golfer living in Southwest Florida,
Great course
I deceivingly difficult course, but extremely interesting and wonderful
Maybe it's just us, but...
...we expected something much different for $119. After checking in at the pro shop that was dark and sparsely stocked, we loaded up our clubs on gas-powered carts that probably debuted with the course back in the '90s. We took our bucket of range balls over to the range where we hit off a shaggy tee area out into an unmarked grass lot that was maybe 175 yds deep. To our right were on-property condos that could only be described as "sad". Heading up to the first tee, the box wasn't much better than the range, which was the case throughout the course. Fairways and first cut were abundant in clover and crab grass. Plenty of elevation changes through the routing, which presented challenges for our cart, requiring us to "Fred Flintstone" a couple times, and another time to flat out push it up a hill. Greens looked great but were very soft, with balls plugging on the par three holes. No services available on the course, and you aren't routed by the pro shop, so we had to make do with the water bottles we brought. At the eighteenth green we were greeted by the condos, which were just as sad and empty-looking from the back as they were from the front.
I don't mind paying over $100 for a round, but when I do I expect far better services, facilities, and course conditions than I got here. I can get great vistas and better golf at a lot of other courses in/around Charlevoix/Petoskey/HS. Won't be coming back and I encourage others to keep looking before settling for this course.
Father son outing
The course was in average condition but still a decent value. Lots of elevation changes. Some spectacular views on a couple holes. Played Belvedere the day before where the fairways and greens were in much better shape. Still enjoyed our round and the staff was very friendly.
So sad
The employees are outstanding….the remainder is in the owner, who clearly has paid zero attention to his property…really sad….
