Thoroughbred Golf Course Rothbury, Mi
Great course and friendly staff. Saved a ton of money on GolfNow. For an early season round of golf the greens and fairways were in excellent condition. I will definitely be going back.
Fun course
We always enjoy playing Grandview.....sorry to see the cherry orchard removed.
Great track and fantastic greens
Challenging layout cut through hilly and wooded terrain. Very tough from blue or gold tees, but white and red are very fair for mid to high handicappers. Should have a GPS or yardage book to navigate your way. Pay careful attention approaching greens as several of them have little hazards that pinch in near them. Played in April before the trees bloomed... must be beautiful in summer and fall.
Deal of the century!
The timing was excellent and the course perfect. We feel we received he deal of the century! I'm recommending this website to all my golf friends.
First timer
I have been reading reviews on this course that were not very good. Do not know what they were talking about. It was in great shape! The only thing that needs work are the cart paths.I will play here again.
Always a pleasure !
Always a pleasure ! The course is fun and fair. Great value on gild now
Best value on the Lakeshore
If it was closer to my home I would purchase a membership
Great Layout / Fun to Play
Played her about 20 years ago and it has really grown up. Layout is fun and challenging with lots of elevation change and blind shots. Bring lots of balls cuz you don't want to chase into the woods - lots of poison ivy! Condition was good to very good - greens in great shape, fairways were good but a lot of the greens were pretty rough. With some effort from management, this course could be spectacular. Pro shop just average, with staff doing several jobs at the same time. No beverage cart on a Saturday in the middle of summer - at a resort course! What are they thinking. But I would and will go back - especially if I can find another Golf Now Hot Deal!!
good time
We played 18 holes and was pleasantly surprised at the condition of the course. Very lush and green. We will go back again.
Lush...as nice an island par 3 anywhere
Very nice to play if you can stay out of rough by shooting straight. Otherwise you are in for a long day!
A gem....but it's fading...needs a good polishing
The Thoroughbred Golf Club remains a challengin and beautiful course. Many features are not found on a resort course. Unfortunately due to a variety of circumstances..it is not being kept up to the standards originally intended for this great course. Fees remain high..and traffic is very low..not a bad thing when you are playing. .but it does not bode well for this once incredible course.
Thoroughbred Golf
At one time this challenging and scenic golf course was one of best in west Michigan. Unfortunately, the condition of the course has deteriorated over the years. Would to see this course return to its great condition of a few years ago.
Ho;iday golf
Great place to play just before the fireworks!
Beautiful course
What a terrific way to cap off our holiday weekend. This course is so beautiful. And, we played for a great rate as well. You'll love the pace of play.
Best 1st time ever
Great course! We played it for the first time yesterday (walked 18). Great elevation changes. Severe dog legs. Hole #8 is 108 (from blue) par 3 with an Island green. Hole #11 has water in front of green. I'd recommend this course to all. It's very challenging!
wes
course was in great shape.alway enjoy playing here.
Great layout
Really enjoyed the course layout. Lots of different shots required with doglegs, uphill, downhill, and an island green. Definitely well worth the Golfnow price!
Nice course, quite challenging
At my playing level, it is a challenging course, but for this time of year, in surprizingly good shape. Would recommend this course to anyone at whatever level they play
Great course!
This is a course you have to play. Course is in excellent shape. Cant beat this course for the value.
There is NO poison ivy on this course...
