Numerous elevation changes and the course was in good condition.

We played the blue tees and it was an enjoyable challenge. The back to back par fives on the back nine are interesting.

Beautiful course and views from elevated tees

Very fair course with some beautiful scenery. Their #8 island green from the elevated tee plays shorter than the yardage . Medium speed greens and nice fairways. Great value and a fun course to play.

Awesome Elevated Tees!

This course is defined by its elevated tees! They are sweet! The island green is cute on #8 but at 100 yards, it is a big enough green that you never really consider the water. But tees like #1, 3, 10, and 17 are amazing! I played much of my golf in Florida on flat courses so seeing these tremendous changes in elevation and watching the tee shots hang in the air is extremely rewarding! The greens are in great shape but were a little slow. The course is not overly challenging based on the layout but they have let the long grass and fescue grow up around the holes and it forces you to keep the ball in play. Great course to play when there are golf now deals.

A Great Course!

Great service. The layout is challenging, yet fun. The course condition was excellent. Played The Bear in Traverse City the week previous and I felt this course was overall a much better experience.

used to be a highly rated course. now needs attention.

this once was a highly rated course with a hefty greens fee, but has gone downhill. while not in bad condition, it is no longer pristine. this course has a lot of elevation changes and blind shots. the greens have a lot of slope, but fortunately, they were slow. while not being overly difficult, I found it challenging. being a northern area course, it has some great views. I would recommend this course only if you get a great deal through golfnow.com.

All around pretty fun course

Grand View golf course is a pretty solid all around hilly track. It has some fun short par 4's and some long challenging par 5's. They are known most for there island hole #8, which plays a mere 80 yards or so but still is a tricky wedge shot. The downside is the drive (from Muskegon) about 35 minutes. However, paying $20 through Golfnow.com is was well worth it. Keep the ball in the fairway and you will post well.

Best area course for your money!

This is such a beautiful course and probably the best value in West Michigan. Very well maintained and greens roll very smooth. The elevated tees make for spectacular views throughout the course and I can't wait to come back and play!

Great Value, Course not as nice though.

Glad you asked. The third hole green was in rough shape, needs work. The roughs next to the fairway are too long, because we could not find balls that were only five yards from the fairway. We were constantly looking for balls in the long roughs, hence slow play. A challenging course and a good test. Plus great price will have me returning soon.

Course has some potential

Thoroughbred was such a great course, then Double JJ had some problems which left the course in a fair condition. The greens/fairwarys are alright some weed killer would do wonders to the nasty looking rough. Overall course isnt to bad just needs some clean up. I would not pay $79 to play but using GOLFNOW.com and paying $25 is worth the drive.

Fun and challenging course!

I was visiting from out of state and had a chance to play Grand View. All I can say is I was very impressed by how well maintained this course was and how great the views were. I play all over the US and for the money, there are not many courses that compare to Grand View. I look forward to coming back next time I'm in Michigan. Highly recommend!

Favorite course

I would rate this course 5 stars, but the weather has made the greens very slow. The greens has some disease and the fairways had quite a few moles. I'm sure these problems will be corrected soon, after which I would rate this as one of the finest coarses in Michigan.

Awesome track

This golf course is an amazing track. I love the elevation changes and the fact that it forces you to move the ball both left and right off the tee. The quality of design is reflected in the variety of holes. You don't ever feel like you are playing the same hole over again. In fact, there are multiple "memorable" holes. The greens are not quite back yet from the winter snow but they are getting close. Once the course gets to mid-season shape it will be a "must play" for anyone visiting or living in the area. I was able to find very affordable rates through golf now that made this value very intriguing. Definitely worth the drive!
