Need more signage for the Norway course.
We payed for the spruce course. After the first hole the starter put us on the Norway course. Didn't like that at all. Nice course but hard to navigate and we felt too close to others teeing off on the spruce course.
Evergreen joy
My wife and I really enjoy the layout of this course. Very pleasing to the eye, and wife likes the advantage on most forward tees.
Group in front played very slow, but eventually let us through.
Overall, a very pleasant place to play. We will return for sure.
Very nice!
Great conditions.Friendly staff. Wonderful golf experience.
Great app
GolfNow now was easy to use. This was my first time using this app. The price was great and so was the course.
Older course - w/ some newer improvements
Staff friendly and helpful 5 Stars for them.
Spruce course is in best shape I've seen over the last couple of years. Fairways in decent shape, greens are a mixed bag, with most being OK. Probably could be plugged and rolled - definitely needs overseeding in the thin areas
Tee boxes need major work, not being kept up, hammered, lots of divots, hard finding a Tee-spot especially on par 3's. Bunkers - 1 star; need major work/sand; most are gravely sand hard packed and not maintained, weeds in the bunker- sand and raking them would help.
Small improvements could make this a; " I want to play this course again!"
Northern Michigan Courses with Southern Michigan Prices
I love a good deal (isn't that why we're on GolfNow?!), and I love new courses. I'm a beginner with less than 25 rounds under my belt, but flat wide open courses bore me. I didn't have a problem with this course, but the men in the group did seem to struggle with the narrow fairways and woods. The greens seemed like they could use a little attention, but most of it was to blame on the wind and season (the cottonwoods seemed to be shedding.) The fairways and rough all seemed to be in good condition, and I only spotted a few broken tees and cigarette butts on the tee boxes. All in all I really like the types of established wooded courses that northern Michigan provides better than the farm fields in my local area, and this was no exception. And also worth the stop near Cadillac for dinner ;)
Enjoyed the course
My golf partner, his wife, me and my wife drove to play evergreen for the 1st time. It was 1 1/2 hr trip that everyone enjoyed. From the slight elevation changes to the nice layout, nobody was disappointed.
Very nice course
Loved playing this course. Very relaxing atmosphere.
Evergreen Golf Course
Very good place to play anytime of the week or season.
Hidden Gem
Nice golf course, especially for the price. Great layout - many different hole types, cut through wooded area with some nice small elevation changes. It is a little rough around the edges and appeared to get heavy play, but is fun course to play - not long, but there is trouble off the tee is you don't keep it in play. Great friendly staff. Played late in season on a crummy day and service cart was out and halfway house was open. Recommended to any level of golfer
Beautiful Course
Really enjoyed the 18 holes! Par 3 over water with pictuous bridge. Greens in good shape that were fun to put. Would play again.
Great course and people !
Will be back to play ! Fun course and great people..Cannot say enough good things about our round there other than THANK YOU ando keep up the great work !
Decent value
A good value so this course gets a lot of play. Pace of play was slow, even at mid-week, but for roughly $15 it's hard to complain. The course shows wear but nothing unusual for mid summer.
fun course to play
everyone was very helpful
Questions about what happen ?
Been happy with Evergreen but this time we wished we went somewhere else. At the first hole we watched a group of 6 tee off then a group of four, group of 3 and the group of two in front of us had the same tee time as us. This was all in 20 min. so you can imagine the wait we had. (overbooked?) At the tenth hole many jumped ahead and two quit so we where not waiting as much but our cart failed us and kept shutting down. When the cart would quit it would lock up the brakes every 20sec or so (very aggravating). Called the pro-shop w/ no answer then had someone go tell them. they brought out a cart right away but said "ya they had one doing that" Then they should take it out of the line up. Like i said I have been happy here but I would like some consistency for me to go back.
Great value for the money
Awesome course with lots of very mature trees and all types of vegetation. Lots of room between holes. Course in over all good condition. Most greens were better than average. I can only give it four stars because the last hole, (18) a par 3 seemed to be almost an after thought. Will definitely play again.
My go to course
Very accommodating staff. Kyle was great in the pro shop making sure our group's needs were met.
Course was in great shape and we had a great round.
I've played this course many times and this was the first time I noticed the view of a church in town from the 17th green.
Good golf for your money
this course is a great value for your money slightly challenging with open fairways would recommend
Playing in the woods
I liked the this course. It seems like an older style course that is designed with the fairways next to each other. My only disagreement with the description is the lake is not near the course. It is not on the shores of Lake Cadillac, but other than that the staff is friendly and helpful. The course has enough challenges to make it interesting without beating you up, and overall it is just a fun experience and well within budget.
Great course
Great course to play for both beginner and advanced.
