About Gull Lake View Golf Resort
Since the 1960s, the Scott family has transformed 2,000 acres in southwest Michigan into one of America's largest golf resort communities. Situated in the appropriately named Augusta, Michigan, near Kalamazoo and Battle Creek, Gull Lake View Golf Resort has become synonymous with affordable packages where golfers stay in comfortable villas to enjoy six different courses, all from different eras. The East and West courses were built in the mid-1960s and mid-1970s, with the two Stonehedge courses added later in 1989 and 1994. The family bought the Bedford Valley, a classic course known for hosting tournaments, in 1988 and then put the feather in the cap, debuting the linksy Stoatin Brae by Renaissance Golf Design in 2017. Bedford Valley is always well kept.
We play this course several times a year. We book it on Golf Now. Rate is between $37.50 & $47.50 including GN fees. Normal course price is $75.00. That is more than we would pay. We always play when the deal is available.
We have never been disappointed with the course or the friendly staff.

unique layout
The north course is my preference . The wider fairways vs the south and the 6par5s,6par4s and 6 par 3s is a welcome change to the usual hole routine. the greens are large so two putting here on everyhole is a challenge in itself

An Incredible Course *
Stoatin Brae is a gem. It is an incredible course *- as long as you aren’t expecting to show up and play something the likes of Erin Hills, Sand Valley or Pinehurst. I have seen many reviews on here dogging the course for being overrated when compared to these other courses. Guess what- those courses average $350-500 per round. Stoatin is a well thought out design that is an absolute value at approximately $100 per round. I have played just about every destination course East of Missouri and I would put Stoatin in my top-15. That’s saying something from a golf journeyman who’s played 200+ courses.
While in Michigan you have to play:
Bay Harbor- Links and Quarry 9s
Forest Dunes The Loop (Doak masterpiece)
Arcadia Bluffs (Bluffs course is great, South +/-)
