Excellent, but…
First time here at the course. Got a great rate from GN and the course is gorgeous. It’s also got a solid amount of challenge as well as forgiveness for players. The only issue we had was that we were asked at one point to “speed it up”, that there were five groups behind us that we were holding up. My group was playing a scramble or best ball style and certainly not moving any slower than average. We basically skipped the hole we were on so that we stopped holding up this engined us. At that point on, we were waiting on groups in front of us and rarely saw a group behind us until the end. This isn’t a huge deal and I understand how this has to be handled. But we paid to enjoy a beautiful Saturday of golf like everyone else playing that day. It was not a rude or unreasonable ask, just unfortunate.
Excellent Value For The Money!
I’ve played more expensive courses that were nearly as good as this one. Hard to beat for $70. I’m not saying this is the “best” course at Lake of the Ozarks but in my opinion it’s the best course for the money.
Beautiful old school course with a great layout. Challenging but fair and a lot of fun. It’s my favorite course in the area.
Blind shots,water,sand and hazards
There was no way to judge shot distance necessary for a drive location or layup without GPS technology. A hand held was helpful but not useful if you can’t see where the landing area should be. Also pin position was improbable without knowing green size and slopes. Played 9 holes and quit which is a first for me. The first time I played this course several years ago there was a 4 sum in front of us so you could use a hand held gps to pick spots to aim. GPS would make it a course to reconsider.
Excellent golf destination
Played course over Labor Day weekend. Tee time was early and pace of play was very good. Course condition was excellent and greens were in great condition. There are 5 sets of tees and will fit all skill levels. Highly recommended.
Oaks
Great course to play.the waitress was very friendly
Good Time, Not So Good Weather
Wet conditions made for a soggy experience. It's a good course, but lots of downhill side hill lies made even more difficult because of rain. Only made it 13 holes but was a good experience overall.
Fun well kept course
We’ll kept course that was very fun to play. I will definitely come back and play this one again.
Nice Course
Not too long and fairways are spacious. Shot makers course as a wayward shot probably not coming back. Beautiful course.
Vacation round
Played with my son in law and two others we were paired with annd enjoyed our round. His first time on the course and he liked it. Course in good shape. Played in 4:30 which is good for a resort course.
