On Pointe!!!
Nice little course with a good pace of play. $30 for my wife to ride along with me with way too much. If you are playing well then you can score on this course. Will probably play it again in the future.
Nice mix of challenge and playability
Enjoyed golf with my son. Requires a bit of accuracy but not too punishing. Slope can be extreme, so try to keep it on level fairway. Greens are large, soft, but tiered. Putts will break quite a bit on slopes, making the greens the most challenging aspect of the course.
Absolutely beautiful surroundings, and our foursome finished ahead of pace.
Good course
Good course. Great for novice or more advanced. Nice staff.
The Pointe
Good, fun, challenging course for beginner to advanced. Greens/fairways in really good condition. Friendly staff. Netted warm-up area right by #1 t-box.
Good Course with friendly staff
Visited The Pointe while on vacation.
Nice track with good sight lines,
Greens were in very good condition and rolled true. Good speed as well.
Staff was very friendly, and the onsite food was excellent.
Course needs some upkeep in the fairways and bunkers.
I thought the cost was a little high for the value.
I loved the elevation changes of the course.
I would recommend this course to everyone. My wife enjoyed the course as much as I did. Plus the staff was very pleasant and helpful.
Up… Down… Tilt
Very much a hilly course with lots of elevation changes. Greens getting better after airation a couple weeks back. Fairway grass was very thin with some bare spots. 9 and 18 tee shot extreme uphill over a lake. 16 hard to play with extreme tilt right to left. Sand traps were consistent and playable.
Greens were in great shape fairways were good conditions last 3 holes were a little ruff.
Steady play
Course was great condition. Greens were well manicured. 16,17,&18 fairways were not friendly but were the same when I played in 2020.
Nice Mountain Course - enjoyable round
The greens were in great shape and rolled true. The fairways were a bit ragged here and there, possibly from last year's drought. Still early in the spring and the grass was still coming in. I liked the layout, but mountain golf is always a bit trickly and at time the landing zones seemed too slopped or narrow. On a couple of my best drives - I hit through the fairway. But again, that is mountain golf. Didn't score great, but that was on me :)
I liked the layout
Greens had been plugged. Fairways were bare in spots because early spring but overall I'd play it again
Should be Better
The course has a nice layout but improvements should be made. First off, no drinking water on the course and no water in the ball washers! It was 80 degrees out! Pace was slow and no rangers to monitor play. Greens and tee boxes were fine but fairways were brown and very little grass in some spots. Club house personnel were very friendly.
Hilly and quirky
The Pointe is quite hilly and as a result there are a few quirky holes in particular, 5, 9 & 16. From the back tees 5 had about a 220 yard carry over a cement retaining wall above a creek. 9 had a blind uphill tee shot and it appeared that the 150 yard marker was on the right side of the fairway next to some trees…the tee shot demands a fade. 16 wasn’t too bad off the tee but the second shot was to a divided two level fairway with the right side elevated way above the left side and any shot down the fall line will run off into a small cree…keep it right! . Other than that the course was fun and the greens rolled nicely even though they had been aerified and sanded recently.
