New Jersey Golf Resorts

New Jersey might be small in stature, but it’s got plenty of stay-and-play golf options, including a few nice golf resorts. Many of Atlantic City’s hotels and casinos offer stay and play packages, but none are really true golf resorts. The state’s largest golf resort, the Crystal Springs Resort, offers multiple places to play, including the highly regarded Wild Turkey and Ballyowen courses. Nearby, Mountain Creek Resort is known as a ski area, although it has added golf with the purchase of the 27-hole Great Gorge from Crystal Springs. Seaview, A Dolce Hotel, has a major championship past, hosting the 1942 PGA Championship, and continues its tournament tradition with an ongoing LPGA Tour event on its scenic Bay course. The Renault Winery Resort & Golf offers a sampling of the good life with wine, fine dining and golf.

At Crystal Springs Resort in the northernmost part of the state, seven scenic golf courses and three modern lodges are an example of the New Jersey that many are pleasantly surprised to discover. Word is getting out thanks to Ballyowen Golf Club, ranked the best public course in New Jersey. While links-style Ballyowen is the star attraction, Crystal Springs' six other courses offer plenty of diversity.
The Crystal Springs Golf Resort caters to golfers of all ages, interests and budgets. You don't have to look far to find bliss at this unique golf destination tucked deep in northern New Jersey mountains less than 50 miles from New York City, Jason Scott Deegan writes.
There are four championship courses at Crystal Springs Resort, the focus of Mike Bailey's recent golf trip, including one many consider to be the best in New Jersey.

The Bay Course remains the draw, but there's much more to love at Seaview, including an inland course (Pines) and a fine historic hotel across the street.
