Great Greens
Apple Valley has the best greens I've played on in a very long time. The layout is great. There are some gettable holes. But there are also some really challenging holes. Everything was enjoyable about this round. The clubhouse is warm but roomy, with a terrific vie across the course.
Can’t wait play again
Beautiful course in great condition. The greens were fast and smooth. Hole #5, a par 3 over the water is stunning. The staff was friendly, helpful, and I feel like I’ve made new friends. The course has holes that are challenging but you can also score. We will be back.
Hidden gem
Apple Valley continues to be maintained in excellent condition from tee to green and is great layout. Very reasonable rates and certainly worth the drive from anywhere in central or northeast Ohio.
Enjoyable Course, Incredible Staff
Came here for our annual college reunion golf trip (12-16 golfers). Planned on playing Saturday and Sunday morning, but played an extra twilight 9 on Saturday night on the fly which was the best decision we made all trip thanks to Bob and Don in the pro shop helping us out.
Course and restaurant staff were great (especially with dealing with a group of 20-something former frat guys). Great course for the price, very well taken care of, challenging but still handleable for all handicaps (we as a group range from +5 to 22). Stayed at the Condos right down the road, very easy walk to the clubhouse.
Overall loved the setup, we’re already planning on coming back here next year!
Nice round
Played a round recently and it was an enjoyable round. The conditions were spectacular, pace was good and the guys I played with we’re great.
A good day at the course
I haven't played Apple valley for probably 20 years but always remember it was in great shape creams were perfect for as hot as it been out everything was green and lush and the price was right pay to play was really good and the staff was very enjoyable I'm always looking for a good deal and this is one of my favorites now
Beautiful Course - Brutal Pace
Went to play 18 with another golfer. Course looked and played great when we could be play. Unfortunately spent the majority of our time sat on the cart waiting for the tee box. At one point there were 5 groups on hole four. Ranger did not come down to sort the mess out. Seems like they’re booking the course way too tight. 9 holes took us 2 hours 50 minutes and we had substantial (10+ min) waits on every hole after hole 3. We could only play 9 holes.
Too busy with a large group/outing
Guys were all over the course and causing slow pace. Some were playing music and being very disrespectful of others playing.
Not what it used to be
I played here in June with a few buddies and we were very disappointed. We usually make a trip to play up there a few time a year and I am not sure what happened to this course but it was in terrible shape form tees to greens. This used to be a fantastic course in great shape but something has changed and not fir the better,
Championship Quality
I’ve played across the nation. Apple valley is up there with some of the best!
Nice experience!
Great course, great clubhouse and a great overall experience! Would love to see a beer cart added.
Great Place for a Two Day Golf Trip
Our group did a two day golf trip with 36/day. The course was in great shape following some heavy rain leading up to our arrival. It drained well and didn’t pose any playability issues for our group. It’s a friendly course for beginners with challenging holes mixed in. Overall, I was very happy with the course and how it played. The clubhouse is wonderful and offers great food and drinks for breakfast, lunch or a mid round snack. The service at the restaurant was excellent. My one negative thought was our group was rushed in between rounds. We had plenty of time to eat but were told by staff “your group better be ready to tee off” because of leagues. Wasn’t a fan of the tone but it wasn’t a dealbreaker for me. Our group stayed at the cabins which I highly recommend. Fully furnished with everything you need and a short walk to the golf course. I would definitely return again for another trip.
