Nice mountain setting
Well worth the money. The course was in good shape even tho there had been quite a bit of rain. Very good greens.
Distance
Good courses. I wish foxglove would have marked distances to the water off a couple of the tee box though.
Thanks for your feedback, Jackson. We will address this issue internally and work on resolving it for you. Please come back in the meantime for another round!
The Resort courses are always fun
I had a great time playing Thistle/Foxglove. Course in great condition. Perfect weather, perfect pace, finished in 4 hrs. Friendly staff. Never disappointed at The Resort courses.
We're glad to hear it! Thank you for your 5 Star review. Hope to see you soon!
A Beautiful Challenge
Do you have an "A" game? It would help to have it at Fox Glove. Best challenge I've had this year. I played Thistle and Fox Glove. Thistle is pretty much open with wide tree lined fairways. It a good course to grip n rip. As on any course it helps to keep the ball in play but if your off the fairways you still seem to have a decent shot. It's not that way on Fox Glove. 20 feet off the fairways and pulling out another ball.
Overall, the course is in immaculate condition. Fairways are clean and weed free and the greens are in "resort" condition. There is break in the greens and its not difficult to read.
I will be back. 20 minutes from Sandy, Or.
Thank you for your 5 Star review, Paul! We appreciate you taking the time to review our course. Looking forward to having you back!
Early Season Thistle/Foxglove
Played in early May and course still had some soggy areas. No pressure on pace while on Thistle, but Foxglove was very crowded and slow. Foxglove goes through residential area crossing a few roads where golfers were getting on for a few holes slowing play down. Have played later in season and course marshals keep this from happening
Thank you for your review and feedback. We are sorry for any inconvenience the crowd may have caused you. Please don't let this deter you from coming back and playing another round with us!
Drainage was amazing!
I played 18 with a cart in less than desirable conditions. It's the end of April in Welches. It gets more than the state average of rainfall anyway. It could have been a lake, but it wasn't. The fairways were tight, the greens impeccable, and even the rough was playable. I would recommend this course at top price let alone the deal I got. I would recommend golfnow to anyone. Hit 'em long and straight.
Thank you for your 5 Star review! We are thrilled that you enjoyed our course so much and would love to have you back soon!
Exceeded my expectations
I figured I would enjoy this tucked-away resort less than an hour away from Portland, but it easily exceeded my expectations. The feeling of solitude, the beauty of the highlands and the variety of holes on the three nines at The Resort at the Mountain made for an exceptional golf experience. Two of the nines aren't particularly long and they're playable by all levels, but if you throw in the tighter Foxglove Course, you have to hit a few golf shots to be successful, including working it off the tee.
Love the Resort at the Mountain
This course is fantastic. The weather could not have been better and it was fairly slow at the course when we tee'd off, so the pace of play was excellent. This time we only played 18 instead of the 27 available. Had a great time. Thanks!
Very nice
Good shape great views, price through golf now well worth it!!
Value
Because of the value rate through GolfNow this course was great. I would not play at the regular rates. Course in good condition, not long and a good variety of holes. The green had been aerated the week prior so the were a little slow. There had been a good rainfall the day before so the greens were very soft and held shots well. A good experience for shotmakers, not for the run it up kind of golfer. Overall a good experience and I would play again at the right price.
Birthday on the Mnt !
Love this place. Always nice. Prefer Thistle/ Foxglove of the nines. Pine cone is full of forced carries and tight tunnels to tee off through. Much more difficult from the back two sets of tee's. Pine Cone does offer a long finishing par 3. 220yds or so. Course is starting to get pretty soggy as well head into fall here in Oregon.
Find yourself a hot deal
Played here two or three times now and I will continue to play here. Love the scenery. Fun course. It's really not all that challenging but it is well maintained, staff is friendly. I will probably only come here when I can get a *hot deal*. Its not worth $50-$70+ to play 18 in the summer. I'd rather make the same drive to Skamania Lodge or go to Langdon for $60 and play something more challenging. The hot deals I've received included a power cart for right around $21. It is totally walkable but might as well get the cart if the hot deal comes with it. If you see one, jump on it.
Thank you for the 5 Star review! We are excited to hear that you will continue to play our course and we look forward to having you back next time!
The course is unique, great views, in great shape
It is a great course and perfect weather added to the enjoyment. Course and greens were in excellent shape
nice greens
the course was in green shape. nice fast greens on every hole.great weather nice fall colors starting to come in.
Great golf at mount hood.
Beautiful views around the south side of the mountain. Challenging holes and greens were in great shape.
Carts???
No carts available due to tournament being overbooked by 40+. I was told to wait 2 hours or walk even thou carts had been paided for. The staff was not very friendly to say the least, very disappointed with staff at course.
Great day on the mountain
Great conditions with lush green fairways and greens. Staff was helpful and friendly. Had cold beer and hot sandwich outside with nice view of the mountains and course. Nice to have well maintained tee boxes. Always love to play here.
Great potential and views
Time to get the lawn mowers out and pay attention to details. Your greens keeper is not keeping up. Way too many soft muddy spots and areas with long unmowed grass, including areas next to the greens. For $75 per person including cart, we deserve better for that price. I'll give you one more chance, and if no changes, I'm done. Go look at Tokatee if you want to see how to maintain a course in a rainforest.
mt hood magic
