Best golf yet
Course is an all time favorite of mine now. They have a hole by hole handbook with tips and yardage. Fairways are in great shape. While the rough is quite wild and steep in places there is enough Fairway to keep in play. Only draw back was food and beverage service was off due to lack of staff.
Dissatisfied
Greens were terrible. Punched and sanded, but we were not told ahead of the round. No food available at the turn… they closed early.
Very hilly course.
Challenge
Course offers a good mix of challene and ease of play. It also offers some excellent views of ocean and bay.
We have played twice since visiting Lincoln City. We liked it enough tI come back for a second round. The first time it was cold and windy by the ocean holes in the back nine the second time was not windy so warmer.
All around bad.
5 hours to play 18 holes. Course is in poor condition. Most of the bunkers are not playable. Staff was rude. I’ll never go back. Just not worth it.
Hope for Salishan
Course looks to be undergoing a bunker restoration. Turf coverage was good, greens were smooth and consistent. Pace of play seemed really slow but I played in 4 hours. Staff was wonderful, as always. I am hoping they finish the bunker work before the rain comes. The course is a gem, not at the Bandon Dunes level, but given the lower price and proximity to Portland they should continue to do well.
Keep expectations low
Overrated, my community course back home in Texas was better than this course, green was not maintained, pace was very slow no Marshall’s to monitor pace of play, took 6.5 hours to play, fairway not maintained, staff is rude, don’t waste your money and time , I’d you must play here keep your expectations low.
VERY SLOW
Played twice during the week. 5 hrs 1st round, complained, comped our 2nd round, 4.5 hrs. No marshalls watching back 9, that's where it slows, multiple groups on every hole. Wanted to play a 3rd round but not worth the frustration. Plus course is not in great shape, many greens and sand traps are in desperate need of repair.
Two for one…:-;
As the first 9 holes are in the woods and the 2nd 9 at the bay, you get nearly two Cources for on. Nice up and down layout.
Great experience, unrivaled beauty.
This is now my wife’s favorite gokf course.
