The signature 7th is a prime example: beautiful, offers a risky opportunity and a safe one as well. Photo submitted by u388669693 on 07/06/2019

Greens were in terrible shape
The greens were in terrible shape. Seemed they were dried out and poorly maintained. This is a course I play often and I have never had a bad experience. If I was told about this prior to the round, I would not write this review. But unfortunately the staff failed to mention anything about it. I have never played on greens that were this terrible. I wouldn’t be upset if the round was 30 bucks but for almost 90 I find it a little unacceptable. I will definitely play again but not until the greens are shown a little TLC. I will also have an issue sending my customers from my resort to go play the course.
Course not ready to play yet
As other reviewers stated , the greens are currently almost unplayable. A beautiful layout but the condition of the greens really ruins the experience. They have a long way to go before they get back to where they need to be ! We played The Quarry and The Bandit after this course and both were in very nice shape !
Worst green ever at this course
Crazy to charge premium price when there is no green or grass on the putting green. Played round without having to putt. I felt cheated.
Greens were AWFUL
Course set up and staff were awesome! BUT, had I known ahead of time about the conditions of the green, I wouldn’t even think of playing here. It was like putting on colored dirt. We played 3 other courses that had great greens and wasn’t close to price of this. We were offered 15% off but it should’ve been more. Hopefully next time they will be better.
Greens need some work.
The greens were unacceptable.. We have recently played courses around San Antonio that are half the price and are in much better condition. I was really disappointed to pay that much for golf and the greens be in such poor shape. Don't waste your money and play here, until they repair the greens.
Could be great course
The staff from bag drop to wrapping up was very attentive. Driving range was solid could use bigger chipping area. Tee boxes provided every level an appropriate challenge. Fairways were hard with no grass to slow ball down. Combined with slope middle of fairway drive rolled out of bounds a couple times. Painting the fairways and maybe greens is pointless. Be who you are. Greens were rock hard also. They rolled ok.but not great as I played the best greens ever the next day at a different course. Overall the elevation changes made for beautiful scenic and sculpted holes throughout the course. Maybe warmer wetter weather will bring natural green and sufficient grass to the course making it a top resort course like it could be.
Slowww greens. Course is probably beautiful when green
Not a good value at all for $149+ fees
As expected
Exactly what you expect from a resort course,. Practice area was excellent, Carts/GPS in great shape. Winter conditions the course was in good-excellent shape. Staff we also very Friendly
Enjoyable course with nice elevation changes.
I enjoyed my first time playing this course. Definitely cost more than my normal courses I play but was a nice treat while visiting San Antonio.
Greens have a lot of undulations to them and some sharp fall offs. Was fun to play a former PGA Tour stop.
Not good marshals
So the round almost took five hours because the group in front of us had no golf etiquette and after telling the marshals two times about it they drove right by them without telling them one thing.
I don’t know if they were members or not. But they should’ve been told something and the marshals neglected to say anything to them twice.
And as far as the greens. They were the fastest I’ve played in probably seven years anywhere.
Always Enjoyable
Greens are in great shape, about the best I've ever seen them at the Resort Course.
Thank you for the feedback. The greens are showing progress but are still not up to par with our standards. They should be recovered in 3-5 weeks. Thank you again.
