About Palmilla Beach Resort & Golf Community
On the Texas coast, Palmilla Beach Resort & Golf Club in Port Aransas features a rare links golf course in the United States. Originally designed by Arnold Palmer, the course was later shorted to a nine-hole course under 2,500 yards and a three-hole short golf course called the "Loop: as part of the resort's commitment to a family-friendly and relaxed lifestyle. The resort is a residential development that uses Turnkey for its vacation rental properties. Homeowners and guests through the resort have access to a concierge, beach and pool access. There are several bars and restaurants onsite highlighted by the Black Marlin. Port Aransas is located south of Houston near Corpus Christi.Facts

9 hole course, par 32
My main beef with this course is that it is NOT an 18 hole course, or a par 71 course, or a course in any way 6900 yards. It is in fact a 9 hole course, par 32, without any par 5's included. I understand hurricane Harvey made some real damages 5 years ago, but that should be enough time to revise the information on what you're getting when you pay for what you think. I believe this course to be more like an executive course. Feeling scammed!
Loved this Place
Trust, if your in the Port A area and want to play a very fun scenic course this is for you. Course is in GREAT shape. Tee boxes, fairways (WOW, coming from Arizona these are beautiful), and the greens talk about rolling true. Since it is a play 9 twice, feel that the fees are overpriced (got mine on Tee off) with a discount. WARNING! Better hit it straight, you will not find your ball in the rough. Had a GREAT TIME!!!
need to change course discription
This is no longer a par 71 6900 yard golf course but a par 32 Executive 9 hole course featuring 5 par 4s and 4 par 3s. That being said the par 4s are everything you could want and require really good shots to score well. Basically you are on the fairway or you are in the native area. If you can find your ball in the native area you might have a 1 in 50 chance of hitting it out. Two of the par 3s can play from 110 yards to around 170 yards the other two can stretch to over 200 with number 18 to 250.
Green fees are for 18 holes which means playing the nine twice from different tees and there is a 3 hole par three warm up area as well as a complete practice facitily included with you tee time.
The course has been in great condition the last few times I have played it, but I feel that its a little pricey for having to play the same nine twice and not knowing how long you might wait to tee off on the second nine. The green fees are only $15 - $25 less than when it was a complete 18 hole course (whick was fabulous before Harvey) Being that its the only course for miles they have the market wrapped up. I play fairly often because I'm an addict.
Outstanding Redneck Riveria Course
Made time for a round during our quick beach getaway & we are so glad we did. What a wonderful course on the TEXAS Gulf Coast know as the Redneck Riveria. From the friendly welcoming staff, to the wonderful course conditions, not one thing we could complain about… even with the overcast / windy conditions our day is forsure one to remember & we look forward to heading back down again real soon.
Lush
A little disappointed that it wasn’t an18 hole course. This is the best manicured course I have played on in two years. The greens and course were like carpets. Though greens could be more challenging. They also had a 3 hole executive course that was fun. Staff we’re really friendly and helpfully.
Overall a great experience!!!
Excellent Short course
Beautiful course. Too bad that the back nine was eliminated.
Nice Place
This is a nice little golf course. Staff is friendly. The Greens are well kept.
Executive course
The course is in nice shape as it should be for an executive course (only par 3’s & 4’s)
Would be a great course for a family golf outing or getting together with some friends to just have fun.
Not 18 holes
Golf now advertised it as an 18 hole course but it is only a 9 hole course.
Fun fun track, great shape, super casual
Fun 9-hole links-style track with friendly staff and some pretty amazing gulf vistas (for South Texas); looking forward to playing it again!
Awful
Greens are not smooth, 9 holes executive course
*billed as 4.5 star course on golf now Which is absolutely not true… Absolute deceiving
Absolutely Beautiful!
Made you want to play barefoot Fairways and greens I'm great shape
Really wish
I really wish you were still an18 hole golf course. That being said. The course was in really good condition. Even at part 32 It has some very challenging holes. At $75.00 I think it's a little over priced. I have played many really good 18 hole golf courses for that amount or less ( not on Mustang Island). The price will not keep me from playing again!
A narrow 9 hole course with too much wind
The staff were very friendly. The course in excellent conditions, fairways and greens, but a very narrow 9 hole course with too much wind
Seasonal Schedule
Restraunt & bar were not open, no cart service. Other than that it was great!
