Golf courses at Tanglewood

I had a fun afternoon at Tanglewood. The greens were harder and faster than I expected. The course was in good condition. I would play there again.
Tanglewood pottsboro review
Course was in overall good condition. Fairways were maintained and had good length grass to hit off of. Some muddy places but overall good. Greens were hard to hold anything on but I don't think I've played at this course before and had never had trouble holding the ball on, just the way the greens play. Had a good time will probably go again soon.
Tried a new course
Now that I live in Celina, we looked for courses in North Texas that we have not played. Tanglewood was first on the list. Greens were in good shape even with a recent top dressing, Easy to putt. Fairways and tee boxes could use a good mowing, but were very playable. No GPS or yardage guide made some drives/shots a little guesswork. That being said, the course is really right in front of you and shot shapes present themselves. Good course overall.
Restaurant had good cigars! Nice little patio to relax after the round. Lots of wildlife all over the course - turtles, rabbits, birds, deer, and even a cool snake.
We enjoyed the course and will be back to play the back tees. Very playable but some holes require a little course knowledge.
Good value, good golf...
The greens were smooth, firm, and quick. The fairways and rough were classic north Texas. Overall a nice round of golf. I'll go back when I'm in the area.
Great value with Golf Now or Golf18
This is one of the premier courses in North Texas. I would recommend it to anyone. The course is always in good shape and the greens are very good and well maintained. This course could use GPS in the cart to expedite play and assist first timers.
Tanglewood worth playing
This course had a good layout and was enjoyable to play for the good deal you get on GN. It was Feb. so the fairways and greens were not great, but in the summer I'm sure they are much better.
must play !!
Always enjoy playing here. I play the tips, pins placements were Sunday tough were par was good.Well worth your time to play here. The greens are quick but will receive a ball well. The staff is super friendly and welling to help in any way. The condition of the course is well manicured.Find your way there if you get the chance!!
golfnow hot deal worth it.
course played tough due to wet fairways so I liked it.
tees need some maintenance.
not a lot of trouble but not bad of a layout.
Very good course, friendly staff. Great value for the money
I showed up early and was able to tee off before my scheduled time. Desk attendant was very friendly and helpful. I was not held up due to slow groups ahead of me but let a group pass through on the 15th hole. The course was in good condition and the greens were medium fast. No cart girl was on duty. Club house was clean and we'll stocked. I enjoyed my round and would play more often if I didn'the live 50+ miles away.
The course layout was very nice and the course was challenging, however the greens were a lot slower than they appeared. I like fast greens that are true and these looked like they were going to be lightning fast but were not. I guess it was because they had not been cut that day, but other than that, great course. I will be coming back again.
Golf course was in great shape, greens were very good hold your putt true (a little fast) staff was friendly. A greate experience can't wait to go back.
Overall good course
Course is nice and challenging. The fairways were great shape considering the time of the year. Only problem we had with the course was that the back nine greens had been sanded. Only wish they would have told us prior to us booking a round there.
Course in great shape Plays very fair Greens roll very good
Good Course excellent greens
Still early in the year so fairways are in transition, but greens are in great shape for fast putting
Maybe the time of the year but i couldn't find the fairway and I hit straight everytime greens were great not worth the drive from ft worth yet, maybe later in the year
Won't be back
Yes it's February but this course is in BAD SHAPE! It was my first time to play here and I probably won't go back. The greens are like putting in the parking lot!
Thank you for playing Tanglewood. We are aware that the greens get firm this time of year and we will begin verticutting when the soil temperature rises above 50 degrees. The firm and fast greens can be very challenging to many players. The greens should start to soften within the next two weeks as we have started verticutting today. Please enjoy complimentary round on us next time you are in the area.
Course is in great shape for this time of year...best in the area...Will be back...
Average at best
Course was OK, no views of lake, average lay out, average greens, average fairway. Driving range bad
