Most greens were firm, fun layout. I would say it needed a fresh mow the cuts weren’t as clean as they could be and the same for the tee boxes. Free range balls with round and snack shop open with cart coolers, will come back for sure
Convenient
Overall the travel was conveniently located to me locally, and I have played there before I already knew it would be in good condition, and at the time I went knew it wouldn't be crowded.
Worth the Money
Course has not fully come in yet so some tight and bare lies. In another 30 days will be much better! The layout is great! Greens were bumpy and slow but should improve with warm weather.
Misleading?
With the title of “Resort” I expected much more. The fairways were underdeveloped and tee’s were simply an extension of such. The bunkers are hard dirt, not really sand. The greens were in good shape and rolled very true, however even after multiple days of rain they couldn’t hold shots, even with a ton of spin. The layout is fantastic, some very tough holes mixed with some birdie opportunities. A lot of undulation which is great. A scenic pleasure to the eye. For a hot deal, still worth it if you live close (I don’t).
Pace a JOKE
Hey this course is in pretty bad shape overall. Greens decent for dormant but more weeds than dormant grass. Finished 5th hole and FIVE GROUPS were waiting to tee off on 6th hole. NOT KIDDING this course is a joke. Don’t waste your money.
Nice, good greens
I love this course but look out for groups of 5, where each player has their own cart. These are the members who live there. They are slow, and generally have some kind of bet going, where they settle in the parking lot after the round. (These dudes are literally putting for $$.) Tu/Th should be avoided because it is Senior MGA/LGA day and they pack about 10 groups into the tee sheet 09:00 - 10:00. You don't want to follow those groups. It is really brutal.
Great course . Great greens. They did let a couple of 5 some,s out and course did slow down abit. Overall a great time.
Greens were in great shape. Price for a round is very reasonable for this course. i will definitely return.
very pleasant round greens are excellent and fairways are lush. some fairways had been over watered. and mud cist a little rollout, but overall had my best round ever today pretty cool playing course with a Eastern wind. kind of unusual in Texas this time of year.
6-6-7
Two groups of 6 on the front nine. A group of 7 on the back. The two groups behind us walked off due to the slow play. Have had good experiences here before; not today.
Very Hard Greens
The fairways were great. The greens were hard and didn’t hold many shots. This isn’t uncommon of all of the other courses in the area who are benefiting from lots of rain.
LOL, yeah don't play Tu or TH. The Senior MGA/LGA play from 09:00 - 10:00 and its as slow as a funeral processional. They usually run in a pack of 6-8 groups stacked solid. You can tell the Member Groups of five (they all have their own personal cart)..
