Great Course but Way Too Expensive
This course has it all, excellent layout, course conditions, fantastic range and practice greens, and the location is very convenient. However the fee of $173 a round is completely not worth it at all. The only way I played was I had a friend that worked at the resort who got free tee times. Not to mention whenever you check in and you're not a member of the Woodlands CC who owns this course, the staff almost get snobby and their attitude shifts which really just gets under my skin. Overall, unless you are fine with the highway robbery fee, I would go play at Augusta Pines instead.
Challenging
Great time at Panther Trail. Nice variety of hole designs - some pretty tricky if you have not played the course previously. Course was in good shape for March.
Awesome overall day
Course was in great condition even with recent rains.. Greens were in great shape and fairways were also in great shape.
Grrreat!!!!
Amazing course loved everything about this place and the whole atmosphere. The only think I was not happy about was the Pace of place from two groups ahead of me as I was playing by myself and they did not let me pass, other than that everything was great wonderful scenery and challenging but fun course staff was friendly and professional, kart beverage lady was great and so was the lady at the snack bar she said she was from Chicago. I will definitely be back to play this course.
Exceptional Back 9
Course plays surprisingly difficult for a resort course. A handful of straight forward par 4s and par 3’s but overall a great variety of holes that gets better as the round goes along with the closing 7 holes being exceptional. Lightly bunkered but small undulating greens and a number of forced caries over water create a risk reward course that is playable for high handicappers but still interesting for a scratch player. Although not kept in the same condition, IMO it’s actually a much better layout than the TPC course in the same area. Practice area is great as well. Looking forward to coming back.
Great course condition.
The course was in great shape. Some of the best greens I have played. Very busy.
A fun, interesting layout
Greens were in great shape. Weather's been soggy so the course was, as you would expect, sis a bit oggy as well. Love the layout, can't just overpower every hole off the tee. Accuracy more valuable than distance.
Would play there again.
Overall the course was in great condition. It was nice to play a course where the bunkers are well taken care of, if you're going to be in Amis nice to be able to play out of them. I did notice some damage and fungus on the 18th green and one other one. All the fungus and damage on number 18 we're in the back into the right did not really affect play issues on the other green or a little more prevalent. In all, I would have to say that these issues did not detractfrom overall playability or the experience. I would recommend playing here.
Great course
One of the better courses in Houston. Course was well maintained and pace of play was excellent.
Fully met expectations (c'mon, it's The Woodlands!)
Beautiful layout, nicely conditioned, very uncrowded, good price, what's not to like? Note that carts do not have any GPS capability - bring your own if you don't want to hunt for the sprinkler head yardages. Thanks for allowing non-resort golfers to play.
Panther magic
Needed a mowing but quite understood post all that rain that we had in last couple of days. The course is short, tough and well designed. If you stay at the resort it is a plus. You can’t go wrong with this course!
Great Experience
This was a great course and in really good shape. The course is not long, but it is a challenge off the tee. If you hit it well off the tee, you will have a chance to score. Range balls were included with the round though it is not specifically mentioned.
Great weather day
Love this course with wide fairways. Greens in good not great shape. Overall course in good shape.
Lots of fun
Great course except price quoted by Golf Now was not the price I had to pay at course. The course charged a bit more. Update your rates.
Wet, but very enjoyable
Two days of hard rain soften the course tremendously, but playing it was very enjoyable. I would love to play this course again with dry and normal conditions .
