Excellent experience
This was only my second round on the Wasatch Mountain -Lake Course, first round this year, but I have been very pleased with the experience; the courses was in great shape, and the staff was very accommodating; the only real issue was a slow group that was in front of us on the front nine; we were able to get ahead of them at the turn; otherwise it was an excellent round of golf; I look forward to another round at this course this season.
Could be Great.... but
This is one of the best settings for a golf course, and the staff is friendly and helpful. It is in such bad shape however, that it's really sad. One of the cart kids said something about a fungus attacking the greens. The tee boxes are muddy construction sites, and the whole course is in need of repair.
I hope it improves, because the views are great and everyone there is welcoming and nice.
Seen better days
The course is semi-private but has seen better days...
Worth the drive from Vegas
Nice lay out.
Big greens. But some grass issues. The pace of play was good. Worth the drive
Course in very bad shape
This course should probably close until they get things under control!!! Wash outs everywhere, tee boxes and greens with little to no grass, sand traps washed out. It is obvious they can’t keep up with maintenance. A few fairways were over seeded which was welcome to not have to hit off hard pack all the tome. For the money or even for a lot less money don’t bother to play here.
Lots of potential!
Course was fun to play, interesting layout....needs a lot of maintenance...pace of play was good!
Worth the drive
A great layout and a good challenge for all levels.
Seems to lack the attention to details that could make this an amazing course.
Poor shape
We played this course a few years back and it was in much better shape then. I was disappointed
The course overall was in good shape and the staff was very friendly. I would definitely go back..
Don’t Do It
Warning ⚠️ Don’t swing a club here! Vanguard LLC has let the course at Coral Canyon fall into severe disrepair. Tee boxes are uneven and full of weeds. Same with the greens. Cart paths are broken up or washed out. If it wasn’t for deeply reduced green fees for the locals it would not be open. Twelve years ago this used to be a jewel of red rock golf country. Now it’s a joke that you don’t want to have played on you. You are better off to play a municipal course like Sky Mountain in Hurricane for less than 1/2 of the green fees you are charged at CC, if you are looking for a well run, beautiful golf course.
First time experience
Course is under some major renovation on 4 or 5 holes. It’s unfortunate that this fact isn’t mentioned on the web site or by the staff. The course layout is nice and the view of the mountains is breathtaking. The staff is very friendly. Would definitely replay this course once the construction work is over just to see what is it’s full potential.
Coral Canyon is Under Construction
I was very disappointed that no on advised us that the course was under construction. The tee boxes and greens were in terrible condition. All sand had been removed from the traps. We should receive some warning of this beforehand so we can go elsewhere or at least be prepared for what to expect. I have loved playing this golf course in the past because normally it is in pristine condition. Next time, I'm in St. George, I may play a different course. I was EXTREMELY disappointed on Saturday.
Course has problems.
Course is in a water runoff problems and is in a flood plane.
This causes problems on the fairways, but the greens are excellent. The tee boxes are a little shaggy. The layout is challenging. Overall, the course is fun.
Worthy Course but suffered winter water
Do recommend playing Coral Canyon when in the area but the course, mostly the cart paths suffered greatly during the winter. Will likely be a long time before it gets back to its premium level.
Canadian First Timer to Coral Canyon
Great Staff to greet you on arrival. Nice pro shop staff. Unlimited range balls prior to playing. Accommodating on having my tee time moved up to join Davis from the pro shop. The golf itself was a good challenge from the blue and black tees. Greens were true and quick. The course is under some repairs due to flooding last summer. Overall an enjoyable place to play.
Fun course beautiful surroundings
Course was fun to play. Staff was nice. Course did have water damage on several holes however it didn’t effect play. Course gave a 5 dollar discount for food during or after our round. Food was good for a golf course. Enjoyed the day.
