Great Course

Scheduled a Tee Time the weekend before the Fourth of July. The resort was crowded however Tee Times were on schedule. Course was great and staff was friendly. The Pro Shop has great golf attire.

Challenging course, excellent experience

I play Crater Springs a few times every year because it tests a golfer’s skill; a beautiful course with varying degrees of difficulty that will have you use every club in your bag; already looking forward to my next round to see if I can conquer it.

Fun course with beautiful valley and mountain views

This was the first time I played this course and this course was very good condition (especially for early spring golf). The greens were in excellent condition and were firm, and smooth. It was a challenge to get a ball to stop on the greens due to their firmness.

The fairways were excellent especially since it was early spring and the grass has not yet fully grown in..

The few not-so-great things were the bunkers. The bunkers were not too great. Due to early spring, it appeared the course maintenance crew has not yet been able to work over the bunkers and get them in top shape. I was in a couple fairway bunkers and a couple greenside bunkers and every single bunker I hit out of there was little sand and the bunkers had not yet groomed and edged.

Overall, I really liked the course and the conditions (other than the bunkers) were great. The staff in the pro shop was very friendly and accommodating.

The course offers spectacular views of the Heber valley as well as the surrounding mountains. The scenery is awesome, especially on holes 3, 4 and 5.

Off the radar

Has to be one of the nicest public facilities in Utah. Wasn’t expecting much because it was April but the course was already in nearly perfect condition. Layout is amazing with incredible mountain panoramas on nearly every hole. Can’t wait to return.

Great early season round

Crater Springs is a course I play a few times each year because it is a great challenging course that requires focus and skill; the staff was very friendly and helpful; the course was in very good condition for being open for a very short time in the early spring season; I look forward to anither round.

Worth The Drive!

I booked this tee time the same morning I played and I'm glad I made the 45 minute drive up the mountain. What a beautiful setting! Course is in great condition, especially for late summer. Weather was perfect. If there is one piece of advice, I would recommend putting your driver away on the back, except for one par 5. Friendly staff puts the cherry on top. Enjoy!

Great Course- A Top Notch Course

Beautiful course. Great Course for all levels. This time we played we had a group that was quite slow in front of us. Other times I played this course the play time was adequate. Tee markers could have been moved around the tee box more often because of divot wear but the rest of the course was in great shape.

Great course

Crater Springs is a course I must play a few times each year because it is an excellent course. The only issue I have ever had was when a group hit into us while on the green, and the marshall told us to speed up because the group behind said we were slow after I told the marshall their ball flew about a foot away from the head of one of our group members.

Difficult, fun course

Played this course two days in a row; staff was very friendly until we told the Marshall about a 3-some who hit into us in the green without a 'fore' call; thereafter the Marshall hounded our 4-some about playing too slowly; he excused the issue by asking us to play faster but said nothing about proper golf etiquette

We had a great time playing this beautiful course and enjoyed seeing deer on the course. There were a couple quirky holes (blind shots) and 18 ate our lunch, but we had a wonderful time. Staff was extremely friendly. We would definitely recommend this course.

golf

Great golf course , the weather was hot with calm conditions but the fairways were too damp from watering.
This is one of my favorite courses in the Heber area along with Wasatch Lake Course.

Beautiful Course

From the stunning mountain views to the beautiful greenery, this course is just amazing. You have animal life and waterfalls. The course is also a little challenging but worth all the work.

Average Golf Course

Crater Springs is an average daily fee course. The layout is pretty, but the holes have very little character. The course maintenance is not outstanding, bunkers require attention. The speed on the greens was inconsistent. Several fairways were overwatered, with wet spots evident. The grill is in a converted trailer. The pace of play is a bit slow, 4:20 for an early Sunday morning tee time. The price to play was the most attractive aspect. I would play again only if the two muni's in the area are booked.
