Disappointing

First off, the staff and facility were excellent. The problem I encountered began at the practice facility and was the same on the course - and that was thin grass. Don't know if it is that way all the time or just for right now. The course layout was ok, but the greens were too firm - didn't want to hold a shot in (I'm a 2 handicap). The greens were fast and mostly brown in color. When my wife and I got to number nine and the water on the left side looked like a swamp, we decided to quit. Could be we visited at the wrong time of the year.

Beautiful back 9

First time playing here and was impressed. Front 9 was fairly links style then you get to the back 9 and it is two different courses. Evidence in my score on the back. Absolutely breathtaking views. Some target holes and the greens were tiered with some false fronts.
Only complaint was that some of the areas in the fairway were fairly hard.
Will definitely come back on our next trip

Very slow pace on a Saturday.

For the price of this golf course it is totally unacceptable to only get in 16 holes in 5:00hrs. We left after hole #16 when we looked back at hole #15 and saw 3 X 4somes on the same hole. The Marshalls do not demand pace at all. Also, the greens are ridiculous. The PGA boys thought Chambers Bay was crazy, they would walk off this place after their practice rounds.

Nice views on back nine

Nice track, challenging green complexes.
Could have been the time of year, but not in $150/ed range condition wise.
Front nine greens were filled with ball mark's and bare spots.
Luckily got a deal on golfnow for $70

Fun course with great views!

Front nine was quite open and very doable for average golfer. Back nine because of rugged geography, canyons, slopes was challenging but very entertaining. Lots of golf for the money!

Great Course

Perfect weather, fun, well maintained course. We happened to play on Men's Association day. I wish there would have been a course marshal to keep the pace of play moving a little faster. We will certainly try to play it again the next time we are in St George.

Nice Course, Great Staff, Slightly Annoying Golf Carts

I played this course on a fine sunny day in mid-February 2021. The staff was terrific. Very helpful and welcoming. The course is also great, with a nice risk-reward layout. The front nine is essentially a links course. The back nine turns toward Snow Canyon State Park and offers more traditional desert golf with beautiful views. The clubhouse is well stocked and the restaurant looked good, although I didn't eat there. My only constructive feedback to the course is that their warning systems on the carts need to be dialed down a bit. They beep, warn and shut down too frequently, even when you're not getting overly close to the greens or other sensitive areas. It's an unnecessary hassle for an otherwise top-notch experience.

Annoying carts!

Nice staff, interesting course,. Challenging undulating greens with unrelenting pin placements.

Course has some construction that interferes with the carts path in a few areas.

Pretty close to perfect

Just a very well designed course. Couple of the greens are a bit clowny and not a fan of some of the elevated greens but really solid and gorgeous course.

Windy weather
Walked

Cannot figure out the name?

A very pretty course. Fairly flat for this part of the country. Greens were extremely fast. Almost too fast for the contours built into them. Very large landing areas and not too heavily bunkered. There is a target type hole on the back nine which seems to be misplaced and a bit
too hard.
