Nice course
Very friendly staff and course was in good shape. Played with another golf pass player but 4-some in front of us were incredibly slow and wouldn’t allow us to play through.
Great course
Very nice friendly course. Very hilly and fun to play
This course should not carry the name of Golden Horseshoe
In compare with Gold & Green course, this course seems without any maintenance and the condition, holes layout, putting green, sign are totally under the PAR (even far away to the par).
We are very disappointed and sincere recommend the management suspect to offer this course until its problem corrected.
Somewhat Lost
Enjoyed playing the Spotswood course for the first time.
The variety of the layout was excellent, greens a bit unloved, but terrific value for a practice round for most of your clubs.
The hardest component was just getting to the next hole. There needs to be much better directional signage. I spoke with three groups of other golfers while seeking directions and they all admitted they had a tough time just getting around!
Fun day!
Good course.
Good course but was cart path only due to all the rain the previous day. We would not do cart path only again if playing this course as a lot of walking up and down hills to get to your ball and the same to get back to our golf cart. We didn't realize as first timers at this course that it was so up and down.
Green Course
This is one of the most beautifully designed and well manicured courses I've played. However, it was a "cart path only" day, which was very difficult to maneuver. I would not recommend anyone to play there when it's cartpath only. Just too difficult to locate and walk to your shots based on the high mounding borders the fairways on both sides. Just too much walking up and down hills to and from your shot. HOWEVER, I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COURSE TO ANYONE TO PLAY WHEN IT'S NOT "CARTPATH ONLY". JUST A BEAUTIFUL COURSE.
A good course
This was a nice course to play. Pace of play was good the course has some interesting holes. The greens were a little slow but rolled true.
Overpriced
Course conditions- Greens are easily my favorite in the area. They roll true and really challenge your thinking. The layout overall is great and a lot of fun. Especially with a good group. My biggest complaint is the bunkers and practice range. For $90, I expect a nice range to warm up on. At least SOME grass. The range today was a crater field. Bunkers need some love too. They had little to no sand and had tons of rocks in them. Overall were in rough shape. All these reasons are why I can’t justify playing here more. It’s a beautiful course in CW with a fun layout but it’s more of a $65 course. Staff isn’t friendly towards the younger crowd (20-30’s) for whatever reason. They want to do the least amount possible and go home for they are all retirees just working there for free golf. I asked the bartender for a bag of ice and about ruined her day. Great lay out and fantastic greens but ultimately overpriced. They lack in the details..
More for a mountain goat
This is a very hilly & steep course and even though you use a cart, you will have to walk a lot as the cart markers at most greens have you get off the course a long way from the greens & the par 5 # 18 is cart path only and the par 4 #2 is permanently cart path only. . It is a beautiful course & in great condition oday. Because almost all the holes have steep inclines you need good cleats & strong knees.
The women’s restroom on the course had no hand soap & when I came back by after playing 13 holes, they made no effort to put soap in there.
It is a challenging couple, lots of traps, well marked, with basic carts.
David
Course was very wet from previous rain 2 days before our round. Many traps were puddles. Staff were very pleasant and helpful but to keep reminding us of the pace of play when the complete course was cart path only was not really considerate.
Sand/hills
Fun course, good. Condition (for the time of year) cart oath only made all the hills a lot taller as the round went on
This course is in pristine condition
A beautiful course in a secluded setting. All kinds of wildlife. Fairways and greens are in immaculate condition. The greens are a little slow but true. Very friendly staff.
