Slow play no marshall
I purchased the passes over last winter $150. Plus tax for 2 passes. I used them on 9/18 and only 2:30 tee time available. Rates changed and are $69, so no savings (my bad), should have used the passes sooner. Course was in great shape except for greens, which is more due to heavy play and our late afternoon tee time. Lesson learned: play earlier in the day. It was a gruelling 5 hour round, teed off at 2:33 finished in the dark 7:35.
Fun course!
This course is underrated. I've played it twice and appreciate the design even more. Fun layout with plenty of challenging holes, especially the back none.
Was told a different price then we paid
Liked the course check in people not friendly. Starter was great
Disappointed with course conditions
We have played this course and its predecessor many times over the years and, unfortunately, the course conditions were not up to their usual standard. Soggy conditions around the greens and the greens were not in the best shape. Fairways and bunkers were good but a couple of tee boxes were shaggy in spots.
But, a good layout and worth the money when the course conditions are like they have been in the past
Wonderful as always!
Great round at a wonderful course. Bring your A game, but very fair.
Amazing Course
Doesn’t get much better especially considering the price point compared to Chicago courses. Course layout is difficult, but also forgiving on some holes, beautiful views with elevation and completely out in the woods! Amazing course, will continue to play every year.
In pretty bad shape
Started with the range. It’s in terrible shape no grounds crew has touched it in a very long time. Carts were super duper dirty. Garbage left in some of them and they had been cleaned. Our cart the parking brake wouldn’t work. A few carts had totally bald tires. Greens were better than most but not great. Any bunkers are a joke and haven’t been touched all year it looked like
1st time
course was in excellent condition, challenging but fair.
staff was fantastic.
definitely a do again course.
One Hot Mutha!!
Record heat...staff did drive around checking on players. Bev cart shortage on tea & lemonade and Gatorade...how do you runshort on sport drinks!!??!!
Very Good Course
Wisconsin has some of the Midwests best golf. Wild Rock is typically ranked in the top 10-15 best public golf courses in the state. Going up against the likes of Sand Valley, Kohler, and Club Lac La Belle, the competition is high. But I could easily see Wild Rock being a top 10 public course if it was in IL, IA, MN, ND, NE, SD or any other Midwest state. It is that good!
My only complaint was they promote a 4.5 hr round. We took 4.5 hrs but the group in front of us had lost touch with the group in front of them. Seems they could promote a bit faster pace .
Other than that enjoyed playing the course
