Snake River Sporting Club
About Snake River Sporting Club
The Snake River Sporting Club is an oasis bordered by river and wilderness 27 miles outside of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. While mostly a private club, it does offer some stay-and-play access for the general public in luxurious cabins and homes to rent. The nearly 1,000-acre property is a fully functioning ranch with endless outdoor pursuits – horseback riding, shooting, mountain biking, hiking, tennis, archery, whitewater rafting, fly fishing, disc golf and the real thing. The Snake River meanders along the Tom Weiskopf design. Two restaurants, plus a poolside cantina, keep guests well-fed.Facts

From the moment that you turn off of U.S. Highway 89 and cross the little red bridge that signals you have entered the Snake River Sporting Club, you know that the 36-hole day that awaits is going to be as soulful and deliberate as the namesake body of water that borders the course.
Weiskopf created two distinct nines here about 20 minutes south of Jackson. The outward nine weaves through the canyon ridge and corridors of Teton pines and Aspen trees and features two exhilarating opening holes. The inward nine is far more spacious and plays down to the riverbed.
What struck me about the golf here is that despite a 66-degree clear blue October sky day, there weren’t many people on the course. The serene quiet was only interrupted by the sound of crisp divot-taking and babbling water.
Remember to take one less club due to elevation.
Immaculate Condition
Private course outside Jackson Hole. Awesome setting along the snake river. Course was fantastic and the fairway barely even had divots taken out. Greens and fairways were second to none. I am a 9 handicap and felt the course was pretty tough overall. Clubhouse is fantastic. Lots of new homes and condos being built along the course. Would love to come back!
Great Father and Son Trip!
I'm a PGA Golf Professional and I plan a golf trip with my son every summer. We've played many great courses over the years - Valhalla, Inverness CC, Muirfield Village, Wolf Run, French Lick - Dye Course, Victoria National, Crooked Stick, etc....and both my son and I rank Snake River right up there with the best. The scenic location is breathtaking and the course conditions were perfect. The staff was excellent and I look forward to going back for a return visit in the near future. I need to remember to bring my fishing rod next time! I'm sure the fishing is just as good as the golf.
INCREDIBLE
Top 1% of courses I have ever played! gorgeous setting, challenging setup, crazy fast greens, perfect bunker sand... just a dream golf course!
Best course around
I am an avid golfer with a under 10 handicap, and this course challenge my game. This Weiskopf design is the most beautiful, difficult (yet fair) course I have played so far. With tee shots displaying the abrupt, forest dense Rocky Mountains that funnel to the snake river make you forget your playing golf. The course is in spectacular condition with tour quality putting greens, ideal fairway and rough length, and a course layout that will make you use every club in your bag. The staff was very accommodating that allowed us to have lunch before our tee time. I would highly recommend this course to golfers of all abilities. I am not a member of this course; however, they allow hotel guest to play and will be coming back.
