From the Steel City to the City of Brotherly Love and everywhere in between, golfers were busy in the state of Pennsylvania in 2015. We've looked at the thousands of reviews submitted to uncover the top 20 courses according to your ratings and reviews. In a state known as the home of Arnold Palmer, as well as some of the country's most prestigious country clubs, from Pitt's Fox Chapel C.C. and Oakmont C.C. to Philly's Merion and Aronimink, there are some great, lesser known public courses lost in the mix.
In addition to Pennsylvania's largest metro areas, Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, the Poconos, Gettysburg and other getaway towns showcase the diverse collection of courses in the state. There is even some history in the list: designs by A.W. Tillinghast and Geoffrey Cornish are represented along with a handful of the state's top modern designs.
So check out this year's top 20, sorted out by a course's overall and subcategory star ratings, and let us know which are your favorite golf courses in Pennsylvania. You can click on each course guide page to view detailed ratings and reviews information.

Suncrest is a decent muni, but top 20 in state i dont agree with that one.
Lenape Heights is a goat track and gimmickie.
I agree Glenn Mills has to be in top 10. It cannot be left off the best in PA. I have played all the private courses around Philly and Glenn Mills is a better track than all of them except Merion and Aronimink.
Played many of these courses and none even close to Glenn Mills. Played Shawnee two years ago and while it has an interesting history it is dated and a cow pasture.
Bogus. How can http://www.glenmillsgolf.com/ not be top 3? Site feels like Yelp. Paid advertisers get ranked or reviewers clueless. (3 handicap played Merion, Saucon Valley, Wilmington, Aronimink among others in Philly)
Of Glen Mills' 7 reviews in 2015, their scores were better than average but would have barely cracked the Top 40. Sounds like you play some prestigious stuff, which is great, but we are striving to identify some of the best public and accessible experiences based on golfer experiences.
Glen Mills is one of the top courses in Pa. Period. I've played at many of these courses on this list, Glen Mills definitely deserves to be in top 5.
