Lenape Heights Golf Course
About
Located at the center of Armstrong County, Lenape Heights Golf Resort is only minutes from downtown Pittsburgh. This public golf course has an accessible 18-hole layout for players of all skill levels. There are a few challenges to contend with including strategically placed sand traps and lakes, but the course is gentle enough for players of all skill levels. The golf course is one of the best values in the area, not only offering a solid round but immaculately manicured fairways and some of the best greens in the area. The front nine has wide-open fairways and the back nine gets a bit tighter. There are some good driving holes and you'll get some short game practice as well. Lenape Heights finishes with a tough uphill hole with a blind approach to the severely sloped green.

Very nice course
I played this course on a Sunday afternoon. I was pleasantly surprised with the condition of the course, pace of play, and the layout in general. I would not want to walk this course cause it is a little hilly. But overall I had a very nice time. A six pack of beer on ice is only $10, thought that was a very good deal.
Fabulous Tract
This is a real sleeper. It is a resort complex that has undergone major improvements. The layout is aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Verti-cut fairways, dynamic and strategically placed elevation changes, colored 200/150/100 yard pole markers on every hole, soft white sand bunkers, and the overall views on many of the holes make this course the best kept secret in the tri-state area!
Worth the drive
Golf Course is kept in very good shape. Greens are usually moderately medium speed. Sand Bunkers are beautiful with very good sand quality.
Hole 18 is only disappointment. The should reverse the layout and make #10 the starting hole.
Food is OUTSTANDING. Sit on balcony overlooking hole #9 (which should be #18)
Well maintained track
The course is in great shape: tees, fairways, greens, and traps. The front was a nice layout with tree lined fairways and the rough wasn't difficult to find your ball. I really enjoyed the back nine that required shots other than just banging a driver off every tee. This was the first time I played this course and would recommend it. I don't think I would pay full price, so look for a deal on line.
Loving Lenape
Course is just great from all aspects of the game. Really enjoyed it and will be back many times in the future.
tight faiways
course has tight fairways. greens are the best I have played all year. its worth the trip
Great course!
Very nice course. Plenty of sand and water to keep the course challenging.
Cost vs. value
Course is in great condition and well worth playing especially if you can get it on golf now for a discounted price.
Good Course/Expensive
This is a good course, but do NOT pay full price to play here. This course is worth $30 tops for a weekend play, and GolfNow had a great deal for $20 so that is why we played here. The tee boxes, fairways, and greens are excellent. The rough is sometimes very thick and has those little white flowers that sometimes make finding your ball impossible. Otherwise the course plays pretty well. When we arrived there were 2 groups ahead of us on the tee box, so the starter let us start on the back 9, which was awesome! The staff was extremely friendly and inviting. Prices are high in the bar and for food, so know this if value is what you are looking for.
Would play again
1st off we got a great deal through the golfnow website.
Staff was very friendly, starter put us off on the back 9 was also very friendly. Course was in pretty good shape...some challenging holes. Actually enjoyed the back 9 more than the front 9. We will def back back again this season.
overpriced but nice
Played this after a night of heavy rain and while a little wet, still a nice easy track. Greens were pretty bumpy due to aeration a couple weeks ago. Smooth out the greens and it's definitely worth playing but wouldn't pay more than $40 to play it.
Hidden Gem
This is one of the best kept secrets in western PA. I am not sure there is a better public course out there in regards to how well the course is maintained. It's easily on 'par' with many private courses I have played. Excellent track.
Great gem of a find.
My wife and I stayed overnight in their new hotel and loved it. Hotel was very modern and comfortable. Lunch at the restaurant was delicious. The course was great. Only thing we hated was hole 18. Think the architect ran out of ideas whenever he built that hole. Otherwise we enjoyed the challenging course. We will go back.
Course well conditioned. Beautiful new hotel.
This was my first time playing Lenape Heights. It was one of those days you look forward to all winter. 80 degrees and beautiful sunshine. We drove 1 hour from home and it was well worth it. The course was in excellent condition. Some of greens looked like they had some disease earlier in the season but were growing in well and were very fast. The roughs were very fair. My friend and I play many different courses and the par 3 12th hole and the par 5 13th hole were two of the nicest holes in the area. This is not a long course but many of the holes are challenging. This course is a definite play!
Excellent course; excellent deal
Course was great! Would recommend trying it out and even doing an outing up there and staying at the hotel! Will definitely be back.
Tree lined fairways
This course is a great pleasure to play. Many of the fairways are lined with evergreens so keeping the drives in the fairway prevents awkward lies behind a tree or two. The fairways are lush and the greens are quick (when I played, anyway). The Golf Now deal made the day a great one!
lena[eplay
Lenape Heights is a well laid out and well manicured golf course. A lot beautiful holes and surroundings. Can"t wait to play again !!
Awesome Golf Course!!!
Beautiful course and in awesome shape! Love this course worth the one hour drive from my house!!!!!
Resort Course needs some TLC
Changed owners a few years ago and went a little more upscale, course conditions were best they ever were - Pricey but always enjoyable. 1st time playing there this year and was pretty disappointed with condition of greens - look like they are diseased. Hope they get this under control.
