Would be really nice if people would learn how to fix a divot
Overpriced / Poor Condition
This could be a very nice course, but the fairways were full of dead spots. Greens were OK, but slow. Rough was terrible. For $72, not a good value. Other courses are nicer that cost $50-$60 on the weekend. Last time I played there the greens had just been aerated. Probably won’t go back for a long time.
Good day of golf
Some of the tee boxes and fairways need some work but over all a nice course for the money. Greens were in good shape.
Nothing average and don’t believe the scorecard
Played for the first time., I only remember the HORRENDOUS pace, the group in front of us that did not let a solo player play thru for 9 holes, and the fact that the scorecard isn’t honest.
As we were about to tee off, a single player came up and said the starter said to head out. We did the right thing ( we thought) and let him go, in the hopes he would be able to continue thru the groups ahead of him. We ended up having to wait on every tee box on the front 9 because the single player was never asked to play thru. Almost a 3 hour front 9. Noticed the single player must have gotten thru at the turn. Still waited on every tee box. Talked to the ranger. He said there is a group in front of them.
Got to 14th tee. The single player was on the 17 th tee box. He said he only passed 1 other group. So, 2 groups on 3 holes ahead of us. Skipped the slow 4some on the par 3 15th. Played the last 3 holes an finished in over 5 hours.
Greens and bunkers were good. Tee boxes and fairways were hit and miss.Good or bad.. Nothing to me was average.
The scorecard says blue tees are the tips, and play at over 6300. That is simply not true. Anyone with a GPS can easily figure out Pinecrest plays only to the 6100 of the white tees posted on the card. Every single blue tee was what the white tee distance said, with no possible way of moving the back further. The whites were probably about 5500 yards at the most.
I don’t see me returning. From reading past reviews, pace of play is a constant problem. I also can’t believe no one else mentioned or noticed the lies on the scorecard. I would only recommend if you haven’t played it before, then make up your own mind. I got my logo ball. I’m done here.
Great Golf
Have played many times over the years and conditions of the course were as good as almost ever before.
Looks like some construction being done to the back of the clubhouse that does not affect the play of the ninth or eighteen holes. There’s a detour for golf carts when leaving the ninth green to avoid the scaffolding.
Some tee boxes need some grass and some of the greens needed some repair. But none of that affected play.
There was an outing going on but small enough it didn’t affect the round too much. Played as a twosome and shot a 72 in just over 4 hours.
How can I say anything bad.
See you again soon Pinecrest.
Great Day but HOT!!!
It was a good day except for the heat and humidity. One of the better courses around town. They need to have more water buckets around the course. And bathrooms.
Great course, could’ve been in better shape
Would play again for sure. Tee boxes need some love but overall worth the money.
Pinecrest
Have played Pinecrest many times over the last 15 or so years. One of my favorites. Course is in great shape.
Course review
Greens were in good shape but tee boxes and fairways were very dry and hard. You got a lot of run in the fairways and the course is tight with OB in a lot of areas. Also a couple of holes are inundated with Canadian Geese that you have to be careful of hitting. The course is fun but play does bottle neck in a few areas. Overall a fun course.
