The Club at ArrowCreek - Legend Course
About
The Legend at The Club at ArrowCreek brings Arnie's Army to Reno's golf and gambling mecca. Or at least, Arnold Palmer's golf course design touch. Palmer is the architect of Legend, one of two 18-hole showcase courses at The Club at ArrowCreek. Legend throws forced carries, striking native desert grasses and plush speedy greens at golfers without trying to beat them up quite as much as its sister course, The Challenge.
Palmer - the people's champion - seems to undertand how to put together a course for the people too. ArrowCreek Legend weaves around ravines, dry creeks and rocks. It can really give the golfer a sense of being away from it all - even though it's a quick drive to Reno's downtown casinos.
ArrowCreek Legend's finishing stretch tends to leave golfers talking. No. 17 is a short 294-yard par 4 that just screams at players to try and carry the big bunker in front of the green. Usually in score-deflating futility. Then, No, 18 throws a 442-yard par 4 that includes a big ravine carry at golfers.
Don't relax once you're on the green eihter. ArrowCreek Legend's 18 is the fastest green on the entire course. And ArrowCreek takes pride in its fast greens.

Built on the side of the mountain, lots of change in topography.
I always enjoy playing Arrowcreek, well maintained, a variety of challenges with sage filled ravines, doglegs left and right, long par threes. Only thing I missed was the free water in 103 degrees.
Great course not quite at it's prime.
This course is a great layout. Excellent example of a desert course. It'll challenge all of your shot making skills and course management. The tee and green complexes were in great shape. Greens rolled true but are very difficult to read correctly. Unfortunately.. the fairways are a mess. Sparsely grown in many spots, a lot of staked off areas. looks like they may be trying to reclaim them, but is it too late? Too bad, because this should be a tremendous course.
The course is in excellent shape with beautiful vistas.
This course is well laid out, meandering through the mountainside desert arroyos with plenty of vertical action. If a person is going for the long ball and does not have good control, they should play elsewhere unless they are willing to sacrifice many balls, I enjoyed watching the threesome I was paired with thinking they were going to beat up on the course. Between them they contributed about 50 balls to the desert. The views are fantastic and the various desert wildlife is out in abundance. The only thing there should be more warning on are that there are snakes off the beaten path. All-in-all, it was extremely enjoying.
this course is very challenging.
This is a very challenging course, locate on the foothill, with million dollars mansions along the fairway, love the challenge, it keeps me on top of my game, on one signature hole, par 3, 220yards over the ravine, with wind blowing 30mph, that was difficult. Anyway, I will come to play it again when I come up from the bay area. At the end of the round, one golfer and I jointed up with couldn't find the club house, All the houses on the course are as big as the club house, we both found that very funny, we manage to find our way back.
Challenging in the wind
Beautiful course location and layout but no one was there! Why? Because of the rainy and extremely gusty conditions. Ball was not only blown off the tee but also completely off the green. Course itself was well maintained and lush. Hitting into the wind and going uphill took way more strokes than normal while wind at your back enabled me to reach 2 par 5s in 2. Lots of desert scrub lining the fairways so club down and keep it straight. Picked a bad day to play Arrowcreek but will return to try again.
Awesome course
This course was challenging for us novice players. Make sure and land in the fairway for best play for the desert tends to eat balls. The views were sensational and there were a few badgers roaming on the course.
Got a good rate but still not worth it
Good rate but lots of negatives. Range balls are trash. Need to be replaced. Golf maintainence staff turned on sprinklers when I was in the fairway (got soaked) and then pretty much followed me hole by hole and turned them on right behind me after I hit a shot. Sand traps on the course are poor. No starter or marshals. I quit after nine. Would have taken nearly 6 hours to finish. Staff in the pro shop is friendly.
Played here several times but will not go back.
very nice but there were a couple of unusual unfair holes
beautiful golf course good greens tees and fairways, bunkers in real need of sand some holes were just o k
Not too forgiving for an immediate golfer
Not a good value for the money...can not recommend to a friend or someone I know who like to play golf in Reno area
The greens are nice!
This course was fun, the staff from the start were fantastic, very friendly I was impressed. This course is up or down not much flat ground and that makes it challenging.
This course is beautiful with the back drop of the mountains and the natural terrain. I will definitely play here again.
I loved my experience playing here. I would recommend it to any of my friends and family.
Very exclusive, high end,Great Golf and Atmosfear
If your ever in Reno its the best course around. But it will cost so grab a Hot Deal.
Not for the beginner!
Great course design, but no fun for the beginner. Too many forced carries off the tee for someone who can't hit it 100 yards in the air. Fairways a bit sparse in places but that could be the winter they had. Greens in good shape even with aerification being only 10 days back. Major winds to contend with added to the challenge. Will play again.
Not what I expected, but ok.
I guess I expected better course maintainence; reality was a dry winter showed in fairways and greens. The clubhouse is beautiful and the driving range and practice greens are superior. I played alone and the signage on the course was almost no existent; I got lost several times. A good course layout (Arnie did good work) with great variety. Where there was water it came into play. Bunkers around the greens could not be ignored. I plan on playing it again.
no value
The clubhouse is beautiful, great amenities, great practice facility.
The course is a mess. Fairways are spotty - very little grass, sand traps have little or no sand with the netting pushing through, yardage markers are few and far between as well as innacurate.
Wow!!
Breath taking course. Best views, awesome holes, awesome atmosphere. They even load you up with an ice chest and bottled waters. Staff was amazing, super friendly and an awesome club house. Best course I've ever played.
Challenging for 1st time players
Not having a guide and not playing with someone having played there before made it a little more challenging. Looking forward to playing there again.
Good Course with "Target" fairways
No warning that course "winter rules" does not allow jeans!!!
Beautiful course with great views of the area.
From the time we checked in and were taken care of by the staff, everything went well. Course was in great shape for the beginning of the year. Play was a little slow, but that was caused by the golfers ahead of us and had nothing to do with the course (a marshal or player assistant might have helped to keep the pace of play moving). All-in-all, a great day on the golf course.
Awesome deals!
This course was in good condition for having just come off a long winter. Signed up for the membership card, cost=$50, received $25 credit towards the bar & $25 credit at the pro shop. Plus discounted rates on golf all year long, can't pass that up!
