Surprisingly good!!
Surprised to find this was a really good course after many years of being told otherwise by a few hackers. Decent length and fair challenge even for longer hitters, very lush looking and well-groomed, and with an interesting layout (holes aren't just back and forth clones of each other e.g. Hilton Park). There are some minor hills to deal with which makes it interesting whilst not being too much of a slog for older or less fit players. The fairways are reasonably generous and the rough isn't too punishing unless you're way off. It was wet when we played but the course seemed to drain reasonably well. There are nets for warming up although they are in a very awkward location being that you have to walk a short ways alongside the first fairway to get to them. Really wish I hadn't listened to other people but rather just experienced the course for myself. Overall, excellent value for money. Will definitely be a regular visitor here.
excellent condition
Not my favourite course layout however the upkeep was first class.
Hidden gem
This is the second time I played here and the course was the same as the first time I played. Fantastic condition. The greens were perfect and the course was expertly looked after. Would recommend to anyone.
Magnificent Greens
Thoroughly enjoyed our round of golf on Clydebank & District Golf course.
The fairways were cut well and the 1st cut was of a level which gave you a fair chance of making good contact with the ball sitting up well.
Best of all were the greens, well done the greenkeepers, these greens are the best we've experienced this year, and to have them in this condition so early in the season says a lot for the skill and care of the staff.
Keep up the great work!
Nice Course
Good course well maintained for the time of year . Still winter greens and playing from the side of fairway which was fine.
Clydebank Clydebank
Great course to kick us off with for the start of our season. Arrived nice and early for an 0800 tee off. Great to see a mix of members and visitors alike all eager to take on this cracking course.
Only thing that was a let down was Winters mats and no fairways with some holes on tee mats too, possibly just 1 week away from full season so poorly timed on our part.
Greens on the front 9, very sandy but the back 9 immaculate.
As a group we love this course, it’s always our go to if we can get one elsewhere and the staff in the pro shop are the best about. No hassle, actually making visitors welcome and that we’re not a stain on the club.
Great Round at C &D
What started as a very damp, misty morning turned into a pleasant afternoon of golf with three friends at Clydebank and District. The course was exceptionally quiet so we enjoyed a leisurely stroll as the weather got better. The course was in fine condition, greens running well, all bunkers raked and overall well worth the £13 paid on GolfNow (early booking cost, two weeks in advance).
I would recommend the course for any intermediate player as it is not too demanding.
