Great Shape
Course is in great shape for the lack of rain in area. Greens could be quicker, but understand they don't want to burn them up. Best conditioned course in area right now.
SAD!!
This is the worst condition I’ve ever seen this course. I haven’t played it in a while, between the greens and bunkers, it’s safe to say, I won’t be back any time soon.
Can't putt on any of the 18 greens.
If you pay more than 10 bucks to play here you overpaid. Every green is completely unable to putt due to no grass. Looks like a fungus got them or they didn't pay the water bill or unknowledgeable greens crew. But it's too bad because I always liked playing this course. Now it appears like they are fixing to close down - no rakes out, not much grass on the greens. Not just one or two but all 18 greens are not able to putt. To be ethical they need to announce this up front so golfers don't waste time and money and they should be offering reduced green fees, maybe 20 bucks, until they fix the problem. But it appears they are content charging us full price and big surprise when you get to the first green.
Long
Coarse is long and beautiful….greens are coming in nicely
Needs Some Work
Overall wasn't the worst course I've ever played but definitely in between bad and average. The greens were what stood out, in that they were all very dried out, very few still had puttable grass, and most of the time your ball was bouncing around on dirt so you had no idea where it was going. The fairways were in fairly decent shape, bunkers were fine, tee boxes were for the most part in pretty good shape. Really could use some work overall though and not well run. Greens, IMO are where you should invest most of your money in, followed by fairways, bunkers, then tee boxes. Overall price probably should be lower or they should be investing most of their money to repairing the greens. Has potential!
Greens are gone
This is one of the best layouts in central Florida. Unfortunately the greens are gone. Sad.
PUNCHED GREENS
They had punched the front 9 the day before and punching the back the day I played. Was not able to play the back 9 at all! there were no notification's to let me know of the punching of the greens. Had to play front 9, 2 times! But I do do like the layout of the course.
Good to practice
The greens are rough but the course is really good !
I did enjoy , and was good !
Deltona County Club
Course was in fair condition. Lot of work being done on the greens a way’s to go. Trending in right direction . Fairways still Need some work. Overall it’s a good deal for the mop They are working hard to make it right. Will definitely go back. One major plus is the staff. Very pleasant and friendly to work with.
Don't play this course now
The greens are terrible...mostly sand and little grass...not puttable at all...wait until late June maybe and they might come around...otherwise interesting layout with no water but giant and plentiful sand traps, lots of elevation changes and some long holes with serious dog legs
Good for its price
I read many comments complaining about the course, however for the price paid it is quite good, it is a very nice course. If they want green greens like Agusta, they should look for a course where they pay up to five times what this course is worth.
Greens are currently horrendous
Love the course but was totally unaware that chemicals had destroyed the greens. Would have been nice to know that before I bought my round..Hopefully the greens will recover and then I will gladly come back...but until then this course is off my list.
Think Twice
Love this lay out, but the course has gone downhill. Fairways very thin and greens are an embarrassment. Try some place else. I'll try again in the fall hoping the work on things over the summer. Wonder why no one was in the parking lot, now I know why. Never saw anyone else on the course.
You got to be kidding me
What a joke of a course. No grass on the greens, no grass in the fairways; yet they charge full price. This course should be closed down and shame on Golf Now for not letting people know of the conditions.
RIP Deltona
What a poor excuse for a golf course. The greens were unplayable, no grass in the fairways, no racks in the bunkers. We wondered why there were no cars in the parking lot at 10AM; we certainly found out why. This course is a disgrace and golf now should take it off their site. Promoting a garbage pit to play in is despicable, and charging $31 to boot. The course should pay us to play there.
Poor Conditions
The greens were not greens. They were sand bunkers! Unplayable! Worst I have ever seen or played on. Should have been mentioned when booking and checking in for the round.
It was disappointing. Apparently they lost the ability to water for 4 months. And it showed. The greens were mostly sand. It's going to take a lot of work and time. It will be months. If you don't care it is a great layout.
Greens are gone
I love this layout and the people who run thee club, but the greens make the course an unviable option at any price. There would be no possible way to calculate your actual score because the greens are unplayable. Hope they get them back soon, because the layout is fun.
Poor greens
I’ve played for years and love the layout, but the greens are completely dead. I think they are working on them but it was extremely disappointing that they were charging full price for such poor conditions.
Great lay out
The greens were bad shape, a lot of dirt on every green. The putting was impossible, the golfballs went all over the place.
Greens were awful
Greens were in terrible shape - 90% sand. This wasn't because they were aerating the greens, there just was barely any grass on the greens.
There was absolutely no warning on the website, on the contrary - the course was described to be in great shape. They were charging the normal fee. For a course in this shape I would expect a warning and heavily discounted green fees.
Couldn't agree more. The irony was the rest of the course wasn't bad. The greens are unplayable. Fun layout though.
