Overrated and over priced
This course was arguably better as kings creek because they didn’t charge 90$ for a round of golf. On top of paying $90 for a course that’s worth about 60 at most, you have to pay for range balls. The staff isn’t particularly friendly, and there’s no water fountains on the course, so you have to buy drinks from the cart girl you MIGHT see once a round. Overall not a good experience for the money.
Take care of your clients
Friends were in town to play and it was very hot when we played. There wasn’t any water coolers on the course, just the one on the outside of the clubhouse. As we made the turn, we were wanting to rehydrate with some Powerade only to find out the doors were locked. The staff had either left or were leaving at that time and we were informed that they let the cart girl leave early so they weren’t selling beverages inside! Excuse me??? You still had golfers on the course who payed a lot of money to play, but since we decided to play at 3:00, we weren’t deserving enough to experience all the amenities at Towee. Does it take a golfer passing out to get water on the course? Very disappointed with the management and staff. I won’t be coming back and will let everyone I know not to golf there.
Pretty good
First time out, pretty good. Clubhouse is beautiful, greens were immaculate. Only critical note is it’s a par 70 with 6 par 3’s. It’s just a lot of par 3’s. I’d definitely come back but only for a hot deal. The clubhouse may make it look like an $80 course but the actual course itself is more like a $45 course. It would look more like an $80 course if they cleaned up the waste areas and made them look purposeful instead of just areas of overgrown weeds. But in general it’s a nice course. Greens will make me come back.
Nice, expensive course
$60 bucks to golf on this course is excessive but the clubhouse is nice
Good to great
Course is in great shape. Brand new club house looks great too. Perfect place to hangout.
Great course
If you need a challenge this is great choice. Once the new clubhouse is open this course will be one of the best in TN
Towhee New Club House in 2 weeks
Beautiful new club house is built and ready to open in 2 weeks. Looking forward to this next time we play. The course has a little bit of a funky layout which is not player friendly due to lack of signs. 10 and 18 can be missed, this affecting pace of play, due to no signs. (There was a sign for 18 made with paper and a marker but still could be missed by new players.
The course- it is one of the best courses I’ve played in the area. Greens are beautiful and Fast. Carries over multiple creeks adds to the difficulty. Great Marshall keeps pace of play moving and is professional. I’ll be back to play again and enjoy the new club house.
Overpriced and overrated
We stopped here to play on our way south to a golf trip in Alabama primarily because it was an Arnold Palmer design and got good reviews. I'm sorry, but I don't understand the good reviews. We paid $90 green fees that we felt were about $30 too high for the quality of the course. The greens were good enough, but there were plenty of places around the rest of the course that were pretty rough. Sorry, but I can't recommend this course at the price we paid.
Very good course, will be excellent when construction finished.
I’m nervous about the new houses going up, but the course and greens are in really good shape. Good layout.
Cincy Kid
This course was a pleasant surprise. The course has a great layout and the truest putting surface I have been on this year.
The new ownership has just built a new clubhouse which will be opening soon.
My only complaint was that the greens did not hold shots very well.
I play all over Nashville and this public course has jumped into my top 5 with Gaylord Springs, Hermitage, Greystone, Legacy and now The Towhee Club.
Thanks for a great course. I will definitely be back.
