Escena Golf Club

Upon arriving I walked up to the golf attendant stand were the young golf attendant David helped me load my golf equipment onto the cart while I went inside to pay and look around the golf shop. When I finished inside my golf cart was ready with all the essentials. The golf course layout itself was phenomenal. The greens were a little slow but it didn’t effect my game at all.

Very scenic course and a cool factor are the planes taking off and landing at the airport nearby. The front 9 is very beatable but the back 9 is tough. Shot 1 over front 9 and 7 over back 9 and I thought I played well on the back! Summer conditions prevailed but quite a bit of dead areas and more than just dormant areas on several fairways that a high quality course like this should deem unacceptable. Tee boxes, bunkers and greens were great with greens summer- desert slow as many other courses out here but they rolled true. Overall a good course to play and worth it but summer heat and sketchy turf management knocks my opinion from great to good.

Tried to play golf as a single. There were no course managers on site (starters, marshalls), so trying to play was a struggle, not only by the number of multi-player groups in front of me, but when I tried to play certain holes, in sequence, they had the watering system on, so I had to either get wet or pick up. I chose to pick up and go home after 12 holes.
This is not my first experience that was negative, so I will never play there again.

Love the layout and design. Always play here in the summer, green fees are reduced. Play early and finish early. Greens in great shape, little slow because of our summer heat, so its understandable. Fairways have some bad spots but again understandable. In August you almost always play back 9 first.

Have played Escena several times In the past couple years and it was in great condition. Today, the only thing decent about the course was the greens. Many fairways grass and areas around many greens were burnt / not in good condition.. Played 3 other courses this weekend in PS with very green, nicely cut fairways and rough. Better courses for same or similar price out there right now.

The greens were good but rest of course is not in good shape. Better deals to be had out there this time of year.

During the summer, a lot of courses are in bad shape. This one is great. Greens ran true and fairways were in great condition. I pinch myself every time I get to play here for this great price during the summer. Staff has some of the best customer service I have ever seen. I would highly suggest to take advantage of this place.

Escena is one of my favorite courses in the Palm Springs area for its layout, course conditions and value. You'll get to swing every club in your bag and test your course management skills. Great greens and well-designed holes.

This was the second time playing this course. Just as good as the first time. Pace of play was good. Didn’t feel rushed. Tee time of 7:01 finish 18 holes by 11:18.

One of the best in the area. Great value for the money.

First time here. I will definitely be back. Very consistent greens. I really liked the value on GolfNow.com!
