Palms at Palm-Aire Country Club
About
The Palms Golf Course is a tract that locals and visitors alike just love to play. Originally designed by William Mitchell in 1962, the Palms was completely renovated by Karl Litton and Lorie Viola in 1996.
The accommodating fairways make it easier to hit your tee shots in play. Once on the 'dance floor', the Bermuda greens roll true and quick.
The Palms Course has a number of picturesque water hazards. As its name would indicate, the Palms features lovely native Palm trees throughout the course.
It is most definitely a true Florida golf course and one, which everybody should put on their 'must play' list .

Rider fee?
This course was fine for getting out and hitting some balls but has multiple greens in poor condition. Can’t say it’s worth the price considering the prices and quality of nearby municipal courses.
Additionally, the charge a $25 “rider fee” for non golfers riding in the cart. I regularly have a family member or my girlfriend ride/walk with me on the course and have never been charged for them to accompany. It’s possible that this is common and that I’ve been lucky to avoid it but I’d pre hesitant to pay $25 to play this golf course again considering the poor conditions, let alone just walk it.
Not worth the money and it doesn’t cost that much ….
Played here twice now. Forgot the name of it and accidentally booked again. Terrible condition. Sand traps on the green type stuff….
Condemn this golf course
I've been playing at Palm Aire courses for the past 40 years and although I rarely play the Palms course, I decided to try it again. How management can let anyone pay to play on this course is beyond me. There is so little grass on the course it is almost impossible to find a lie to hit off of. the tees are not only covered in weeds but there are many tee boxes where you v=can not hit off a flat lie! the twelfth tee is actually curved like a ski slope!! Every path cart is battered and torn up so you will probably need a chiropractor after the round. this course needs to be torn down if management does nothing to repair it. don't waste your money!!!
Not Good
Arrived an hour early for by 7:48. Rudely told range is closed , putted, went to car….people on range hitting balls when I get back. No apology just took my $8 ..went to range, told starter twice, I’m 7:48, he wrote it down…checked me off…watch 3 3somes tee off….he forgot me and then asked me to join group in fairway….now in to the course….greens rolled pretty well but had sand spots in all….fairways were so tight, almost impossible to hit a good chips, most tee boxes were absolutely terrible. The absolute worst part we’re the cart paths, just horrible with big pot holes everywhere… too many good options close, sadly this was not one of them.
9 holes need lower rate.
They need a rate for 9 holes of play. Charged for full 18 holes. Makes it too expensive. Seniors getting older 18 is too much to play. Would even like a 13 hole rate.
Course review
The course is Kaye’s out nicely. Not as challenging as I would expect. Fairways and green in pretty good shape. The t boxes and cart paths in poor shape.
Fun round at the Palms
I hadnt been at the palms in over a year choosing to play more often at the Oaks course. The Palms course showed me what Id been missing. The greens rolled true with a good pace, and the course overall was well kept, with only an occasional patchy fairway and tee box. The layout is fun and pace of play was good. I hope to be back soon.
Fun course for the casual golfer
Had fun here-could use some work but layout interesting and challenging
