Palms at Palm-Aire Country Club
About
The Palms Golf Course is a tract that locals and visitors alike just love to play. Originally designed by William Mitchell in 1962, the Palms was completely renovated by Karl Litton and Lorie Viola in 1996.
The accommodating fairways make it easier to hit your tee shots in play. Once on the 'dance floor', the Bermuda greens roll true and quick.
The Palms Course has a number of picturesque water hazards. As its name would indicate, the Palms features lovely native Palm trees throughout the course.
It is most definitely a true Florida golf course and one, which everybody should put on their 'must play' list .

I enjoyed The Palms
For years I have played Palm Aire’s other two courses, The Oaks and Cypress, I like them both, but both of them have distinct differences, I think The Palms course combines a little bit of both. Manageable fairways, nice size greens, and enough obstacles to really make you aim for your target. I will definitely play this course again. A few glitches, the cart guy never came around to get my clubs, I brought them around after waiting a bit, and they have a very limited beer selection, and nothing cold at the turn, disappointing. But I am used to playing the other side where the clubhouse is bigger and a bit more staff. We’ll see how it goes the next time I return to The Palms.
Value for $
I must admit, I was a bit skeptical from the previous reviews. But, I must admit, I truly enjoyed the course. The greens were fair and true, the fairways were well-maintained, and the staff was at beyond friendly. If I had one complaint, it would be the shape of the tea boxes.
We were 4 singles. We had a great time. One of the guys fixed my swing. The greens were nice and fast. The amenities were long in the tooth and needs some money put back into it.
Not amazing
Booked a birthday round whilst in the area on vacation. The greens and fairways were in a decent condition but the cart paths and general areas were very tired, as was the clubhouse area and carpark.
In general the place just didn’t seem happy to receive visitors, I wouldn’t call the staff friendly, accommodating or informative.
It wasn’t a great experience and nothing like other courses we’ve experienced in Florida for the same money or less.
A true classic Florida golf course.
I have played this course at least 4 times per year since 1995.
I am glad to report that the course itself, tees, fairways and greens are in great shape.
Cart paths and issues with the on-course restroom, gives it a bad image.
Enjoyable course to play.
Watch out for fire ants. They are everywhere.
Not a bad track for the money but the fire ants are on every hole and they can really ruin your round.
Solid spot
Fairways were mostly in good shape, same with greens. In fact some improvement in the course shape since the last outing earlier this year. I also applaud the greenskeeper for using some temporary tee boxes while the real ones are under repair. I wish more courses did this.
