Some Friends at #17 Tee Photo submitted by LeChefDean on 10/19/2013
Pace is slow
Pace is slow and gets backed up quick. Also keep an eye out for your balls. We had one ball taken and 2 others picked up and had to yelled at them to leave the balls.
The greens are tough.
Tough Greens To Read
Always enjoy playing here, but greens are difficult to read as usual. Miss hole by quarter of an inch and ball can end up 3 to 4 times farther away than when you started. Takes a special eye to figure breaks. Baffled by # 7 pin. .Even after careful scrutiny, still can't understand how ball can break the way it did. Seemed to defy gravity.
Great course!
The greens are always tough to read. Some of the pin placements were impossible to hit. Overall a great track.
slow slow slow
The pace of play was poor.
It took us more than 5 years to finish the 18 hole round on Saturday afternoon.
The fairways and greens were good, and the scenery was beautiful. We played along the mountain deer on some holes.
Challenging greens
First time playing. Course was in good condition, a lot of blind shots for the layout. We played with a couple of guys that play regularly so the course knowledge helped a lot. The greens were tough. A lot of angulation. They were bumpy cuz they were pinched about 3 weeks ago which made them even more tough. Good course for the value I would recommend and play again
Nice course but on course facilities need upgrading
The course was in great shape and challenging. However the on course bathrooms were hideous. The tee boxes and surrounding structures need updating. Steps to tee boxes were in bad shape and cart path transitions were super bumpy. Rate was great and I will play again.
Marshall Canyon.
The course fairways were a little high, took a couple of minutes to find a ball just off the fairway. The green were a little slower than normal, but for a heavy played public course I understand why. The staff is great, they have a barbecue lunch offer that was good. There are deer running around on the course, which is cool. Just remember the mountains rule the putting green. Have fun.
Marshal
I was disappointed that the back 9 greens were not available. They should have given us a discount or something.
A golf course that doesn't very good
this golf course is racist and discriminatory against Asians. I came to this golf course as a team of 3 and they decided to add a stranger 9also happened to be Asian) to our golf cart.
I asked for a separate cart but they declined claiming that it was golf course rules, which is fine. However while we were in the course we saw that they gave separate golf carts to other teams with similar situations as ours.
Why the different treatment?
Never coming back to this course again!
Crazy Greens
I love Marshall Canyon Golf. Located in the San Dimas mountain area. Beautiful course with all kinds of wildlife. It’s always a bit crowded so expect a 5 hour + day. But if you’re not in a rush this is a great place to play a round and relax. The Greens are tricky, I call them “The Crazy Greens”. You’re in the foothills so level is tricky and these greens can humble the best of putters. All in all, in the Inland Empire, one of the best courses. Remember to book your tee times in advance.
