Pine Creek Golf Club
About
Pine Creek Golf Course is part of the La Plata Communities in Colorado Springs. The course winds through the Pine Creek Valley, providing a lush and varied landscape. The course sprawls across high plains grasslands with abundant trees and lakes coming into play throughout. The seemingly gentle terrain has tricky undulations that total over 375 feet of elevation changes. The front is a canyon-style nine while the back is more of an American links design. There are creek beds coming into play on nearly every hole as well as strategically placed bunkers. In addition to the challenging round, the golf course offers stunning views of Pikes Peak, the Front Range, and the entire Colorado Springs skyline. At Pine Creek there is also a unique elevated, target-oriented grass driving range, a practice green, and a short game area.

A heavy frost covered the vegetation as the maintenance crews blew out the sprinkler system as we played. This is the tee box of # 11. Photo submitted by skibumcolorado on 11/21/2013
Good shape
Greens were sanded which made putting a challenge. Grass is coming back from sprinkler problems in past.
Slow but collectible
Great day at a course that was in really good condition with most of the fairways rolling great and nicely mowed, and the greens rolling very nicely. My one disappointment was cartpath only the course seemed to me in the condition that would allow but perhaps too early in the season no biggie. My larger disappointment was the group in front of me who refused to allow me to play through. From what I was seeing 1 and at least a half hole was open in front of them but from about hole 4 and on it was slow. The course had no marshal or starter so no one to enforce the play. Just suck when groups don’t have any course etiquette and NO CLASS. All in all I can’t wait to get back out and play this GEM.
END OF SEASON 2023
END OF SEASON UPDATE TO PREVIOUS REVIEW BELOW:
As of December 2023 the course has continued to improve in all areas. Xander and his team somehow pulled off the impossible by reviving a golf course while simultaneously catering to their patrons. Greens are rolling firm and true and grass is healthy from tee to green. Pace of play has been phenomenal and the environment overall has provided players of every skill level the chance to enjoy the game. There's golf in December and then there's Pine Creek in December. Kudos to all of the staff for a more than successful resurrection of a course Colorado Springs desperately needs. 2024 and beyond will truly be another level at their current trajectory.
PREVIOUS REVIEW FROM BEGINNING OF SEASON 2023 **** Course conditions have vastly improved in the past few months and a new greenskeeper is headed in the right direction. The clubhouse is getting revamped as well and big things are starting to happen here again. With such a lack of golf courses in Colorado Springs, the average golfer needs this course and with their current plan of action, I look forward to next season!
I'm no detective, just your average golfer, but kudos to this place for staying open during COVID and continuing to provide a platform for patrons to feel welcome and share the love for the game. I'll be back, as often as possible, to any course giving this type of experience. Course conditions are temporary but the platform a course provides is what will take this club far into the future. The local management and staff make all the difference.
Thank you Pine Creek for making me and my guests feel welcome, time and time again. Worth every penny over the past 5 years and counting!
Pine Creek has done it again! Can't wait for 2024 and beyond!

Nice Turn-A-Round
This was the 2nd round at the course this year. I hate to say but, over the last few years the course has been in terrible condition which reduced my desire to play the course. I know the course has received an in flux of cash since last year
and it shows. The Fairways and Greens are in very nice condition. The Greens were fuzzy and slow but, ran smooth and true. Really did not
find any bad spots on the Greens.
Pine Creek is not an $80 course yet but, much more enjoyable.
Did a very nice job on the Pro-shop and restaurant. Give them a chance.
Carmona Group
Had a great time, company event. The course is in great shape. 9 out of 10 you will lose your ball on the 7th hole. Views are the biggest impact for my 5 star rating. You don’t get this views in California.
Nice course, high price
Challenging and pricey, if you don't snag a GN special rate
