Beautiful course, nice challenges
Very good course for a variety of challenges. Overall good conditions. Pace of play was excellent.
Good course / Slow round
This course is always fun. Challenging layout and great location. But the pace of play is always slower than any other course. Our round took over 4 1/2 hours. Still great to play anytime, just don’t be in a hurry.
Solid public layout
Offers a variety of lengths. My son who plays the back was challenged. Good variety of holes.
Hot Deal Value at Best
The fairways are in good shape, the greens are a 6/10. The rough was a 5/10 around fairways and a 2/10 around the greens. Pace of play was not great. We had 3 groups of 2 in front of our group of 2. It’s not a good value in my book. Our $41 hot deal was the most I would pay to play there. Definitely wouldn’t pay the $71 weekend rate!!
Review
Found out upon check in that they do not allow 2 golfers to play out of the same golf bag. They charge $65 to use their rental set. They swipe your card and physically hold onto it until you return the clubs. I had a 3:00 tee time, typically takes me 3 hours to play 18 with a partner. The course was so packed we had to wait at least 5 mins to tee off on almost every hole and finished just after 7:30. The club closed an hour prior, spent 20 mins looking for the cart staff, never found an employee. Currently my card is being mailed back to me as we do not live close by. The course condition overall is pretty average but their chipping green isn’t actually a green, it’s more like a poorly manicured backyard with a flagstick in the middle.
The pro shop and prices have gotten too big for their britches
$20 for my wife just to ride. Punched the greens and didn't tellbus until day of
Wet
The course was in good shape. Rain was pending, we ask the young man in pro shop if we would be able to get a rain check. He told us we would have to go through golf now. The rain did come on the 11th hole. So the question is how do we go about getting a rain check?
First Visit
I thoroughly enjoyed playing at Broadmoor. Check-in was smooth and the young man behind the desks was very welcoming. There were a few holes where we had to wait to either tee off or approach the green, but it was minor. With all the "mountain" courses in the area it was good to find a more traditional layout. I will be back to Broadmoor soon!
Terrible check in accommodation
nice course but noisy due to airport across street & I 26 The ba²d part of all was the management. I played in many different state and other countrys in the world from everyday courses to high end ones .This one was the worse experience in the last 20 years of golfing.. Bruce andrew the check in clerk at the Broadmoor proshop and Gary the starter did not try at all to accommodate their guests whatsoever. With noone at the tee box for over an hour prior are tee time. they wouldn't try to accommodate us for an earlier tee time ( keep saying we're back up all afternoon can t do anything multiple time) .
I never write reviews but those 2 people should take some hospitality classes or maybe leave that industry. If they don't want to be there. How do you wake up in the morning and will do anything in your power to give a hard time to your bread and butter. Starter Gary also mess up with an another party of 2 for no reason. Threaten them with pushing their start time by 30 minutes for literally being 2 minutes late, Insane !
The owners group should take a look at their poorly run operation (those guys will kill your business)
.The pitching range was in the worst shape ever, flag wouldn't even stay in hole due to dirt accumulation. Other than that the course was in good shape and nice green.
It's too bad because you could have gained a bunch of new regular golfers, instead we will keep going to Connestee falls, Cummins falls, and other well run courses in the area..
