Hidden gem
Great layout. Senior friendly. Well manicured. Will be back. It really is a hidden gem. Hot deal at $25 was a bargain.
Pleasant Surprise
I would encourage to my friends to try it as it was challenging and the fairways were fantastic (especially for winter) the greens were cut a little higher than my expectation but still very fun to play.
Kids riding scooters all over the course.
This place gets worse every time I go… for several holes there were 10 year olds riding electric scooters all over the place. I finally called the clubhouse and there were aware of the kids riding scooters but were apparently condoning it “as long as they stayed on the cart paths”… but even still, they weren’t. They were ramping hills, cutting across, back and forth back and forth. There’s no reason for this to happen. After I called, one of the kids ride directly down the middle of the fairway towards me. I had just hit a 3 wood and luckily it was a bad shot or it would’ve come close to hitting him. Come to find out, the kid lives in the neighborhood and they’ve given him permission “as long as he stays on the cart path…” really?! And to top it off, they were out of range balls… again….
Overpriced for what it is.
Course isn’t bad, amenities are VERY dated. I was asked to take a dirty cart because it was left at the clubhouse instead of returned to the return location. (Apparently to keep him from having to move it himself). Range balls are a TERRIBLE. Most were split or written so bad you could barely see the dimples. And they were brown. I was literally told they were the balls dredged out of the lake. And since the range is a pond and they use floaters, I was told they don’t get the balls unless somebody paddles out in the canoe to retrieve them and the owner doesn’t pay for somebody to do the job, his wife does it in the summer time… seriously?! They barely had any range balls and the last two times I’ve gone they had ZERO. I’ve only been maybe a total of 4 times over the last 5 years or so and this is why. The course is fine, but the experience is terrible…
Great layout, great price with cons
This is a great little course that you can play for a great price. We went during the week and it wasn’t busy at all. Played with a walker and we didn’t run into hardly anyone.
Course has a pretty neat layout with some good holes. A few challenging tee shots make it interesting. Greens rolled well but are quite slow and inconsistent. You can be putting straight downhill and struggle to get it there one hole then the next time send it 10 feet by. They also don’t check up very well, so keep that in mind for approach shots and chipping.
Our experience would’ve been perfect if it hadn’t been for one of the staff members and a lack of notice. Kitchen was closed so there wasn’t any food available besides snack-type stuff. Course had no water coolers at all and the only chance to get anything was on 7 (no beverage carts during week). If they would’ve told us before we teed off that there wasn’t any water on the course it wouldn’t have been an issue. They didn’t and we had to drive to the clubhouse from the other side of the course just for some water. Pack a cooler and don’t rely on the food/beverage stuff there and it should be a great time.
Overall a good experience that I would recommend and would play again.
Good course for the money
Had a great time and wasn't crowded. Course and greens were in good shape for the fall and scenery was really nice with the leaves changing this time of year.
Decent place at a good price
We had a good time here, I just wish they had food options! Price is excellent
We really enjoyed the round of golf at Cumberland. The tee boxes were being repaired so it made for some I even tee shots.
The course layout is fun and the greens were in good shape.
Good Course with a Great Value
This was the first time I played the course in several years. Course conditions have improved quite a lot since the last time I played. Fairways and greens were in good condition. Course offers multiple tees that can challenge the long hitters, but also play fair to the ladies, as my wife played with me and quite enjoyed the course. This is a fun and challenging track that is an excellent value for the green fee.
Old Golden Favorite
The golf course is a great layout with plenty of tee choices. The fairways are wide and have lots of slope and runoffs. The greens are mostly sloped and fast and in great condition. The prices are excellent and the views are incredible.
Average course, rude staff
Played here a few times. Most of the time interrupted by a storm. Paid for myself and my playing partner and asked for a rain check which they provided. Came to play the next week, was told the rain check was for one person despite asking for a rain check for the two of us. We only played 3/18 holes, and they still charged me $25 on top of my rain check which was “for 15 holes.” After all this, I said “I assumed the rain check was for the two of us that I paid for,” and the rude woman behind the bar said “that’s the problem, you just can’t assume anything.” Between the pace of play and the staff, hard pass. Course is sub-par condition anyway.
Bang for the buck
We played this mid day for ~$18. Wide open tee sheet and got done in 2.5hra. Bataboombatabing
Greens weee little bumpy and slow but in decent condition
Layout - a lot of up and down, blind shots which will get better with more plays I reckon.
Overall, decent course with a lot of potential. Price is right at $20~$35
Great Value - Well Mantained course
We had a great time playing Cumberland. First time but it will not be the last.
Nice Hidden Gem
This course has a wonderful layout for all level of golfers. Good doglegs which make the longer hitters think twice about trying to cut corners over trees. Fairways are in good condition with the rough being challenging. The greens had some aeration bumpiness since they aren’t completely healed. Staff and the regular golfers are friendly. We had a wonderful time and the pace was great. Will come back again if we are in the area.
Nice course
Nice course. In great shape. Only negative was that we had a 3 players in front of us for 13 holes that were really slow and they never offered to let us play through. We only had 3 players also. They were old gentleman, probably members and frequently pulled their carts almost up to the greens.
