The Club Renaissance
About
The beautifully manicured, par-72 Renaissance Golf Course features two distinctive nines. The front nine has an open links feel to it with wide fairways and greens that will accept bump-and-run approach shots. The back nine requires more accuracy from tee to green as it meanders through a large conservation area. Water comes into play on every hole on the inward nine on this course designed by Chip Powell. Most fairways are lined with stately pines and ancient oaks. The greens at the Renaissance Golf Club are a pleasure to putt. These TifEagle Bermuda grass putting surfaces are state-of-the-art and roll fast.

Stop With The Fake Comments
We played the course recently. Based on reviews here on GolfNow, someone stated the course was in “Great” shape. They mentioned the fairways were plush, greens were excellent, etc, etc. Here is the true assessment: fairways were not plush. As a matter of fact, 90% of the time you can to find grass to place your ball in the fairway or hit of the solid ground. The greens were hard as a rock and would hold shots. As for the pace of play, it wasn’t slow but could have been a little better. Also, some of the fairways were being repaired. After stating the facts above, we still had to pay $80. So to all that read this, be aware of over exaggerated positive comments.
Club Renaissance what a discovery
This course is the best kept secret golf course to where I was living on my Florida vacation!
Went the first time around March 15th and went 3 times after that before I left fo Canada.
Loved everything about it, fast pace golf layout of the course, friendly staff, great bar restaurant with reasonably priced great food and an overall classy high end clubhouse.
Paid $49 for 18 holes with cart after 2pm. It’s a little more than $70 for earlier tee times
We will be back to it next year for sure!
Great in every aspect
Played this course 4 times in the last two weeks…and loved it! Course in great shape with a very interesting layout…very friendly staff and great food! Winning combination
Snowbird
It was my third time playing this corse. I was a little disappointed that the course "ruff "was being aerated and was leaving quite the mess. It was difficult to get lie without removing or stomping the "plugs" down in order to get contact on the ball and not hurt a wrist in the process.
The greens had also seen work...the course had spread sand on greens which definitely effected the roll and speed.
Great condition
Probably the best kept course I've played here in Central Florida over tge last 2 months. Fairways were lush and full, greens were fast and smooth ( no patch work or sand, ) tee boxes were level and full. Definitely play again
Excellent conditions
Been vactioning here since Feb 1st, have played all over the Saint petersburg area ( up 30 miles in all directions ) by far the best I've played thus far ( have played 15 rounds since I arrived) tee boxes a little rough here and there but over all better than everywhere else I've been. Fairways we lush and full, (give your greens keeper a raise). Green were in grwat condition. 1st class facility, great restaurant attached to club house as well. Will definitely play again
Always had potential
I've played the course through the years and it's definitely been in better shape. Fairways are sparse with some bare spots. It's a $40.00-$50.00 course at best.
