Pebble Creek Golf Club
Played On 06/23/2020Good Job
I was here about 6 months ago and the course was a mess. Muddy, sparse grass and the greens were exhausted. Today we were very pleasantly surprised. The greens were in the top 20% of the courses we have played in the Tampa Bay area, many of the fairways were greatly improved, and the tees were marginally better. I like this course. The greens are on the small side, so you need to hit good approach shots or you'll be putting for a lot of bogeys. I will be back again soon.
The Eagles Golf Club - Forest
Played On 06/09/2020Best Conditions in the Area
Course maintenance is excellent. We have been playing on greens elsewhere that mostly went from horrible to acceptable. The greens here were in great shape, as were the fairways and tees. Fairways and rough needed to be cut, but that was understandable because of the heavy rain that we have had.
I really enjoy playing here and will be back as long as I can afford it.
Heritage Isles Golf and Country Club
Played On 06/02/2020Great Shape
I have been here before, but not lately. We have been playing many other courses in this general area and for the most part, the conditions of the other courses has been terrible. Heritage Isles was in wonderful condition. The fairways had plenty of grass for the most part and the greens were in great shape with almost no weeds or blemishes. They were a little slow, but rolled true.
The other greenskeepers have to get over here and explain why their courses don't compare to H.I.

Played On 05/31/2020We Had to Cancel
We are 4 senior men who were surprised to find out when we arrived that they were no longer allowing single person carts. EVERY other course that I am aware of in the same area are still allowing single person carts. So we canceled through GolfNow and played at a nearby course. It is MUCH too early to make this kind of decision and I will not be back.
Links of Lake Bernadette
Played On 05/07/2020Concerned About Greens
I have played here many times and have previously rated the course 4 stars. Unfortunately the condition of the greens is now VERY bad. Many bald spots and burnouts. That makes them bumpy, and every green is a different speed. There are other things good and bad about the course, but if these greens get any worse, they may completely lose them. This is a fun course and I would hate to see that happen.
Scotland Yards Golf Club
Played On 04/19/2020Give it a try
This is a fun, links style course. Water doesn't come into play although some heavy bogs occasionally do. Mostly very short par 4's (approx 300-345 yds) from the white tees. Most holes are straight away and there are no extreme doglegs.
Fairways go from fairly good to quite sparse so we improved lies when necessary. Occasional trees in play but not many. The greens are in pretty good shape but vary in speed. Overall I would call them slow. I was disappointed that the holes were not turned upside down like most courses are doing now, so you have to reach deep into the hole to retrieve your ball. Sand traps were average, although some are in good strategic position to catch errant drives.
Carts do not have a rain hood for the clubs, so I would NOT recommend playing here when any rain is predicted.
Overall a fun course, we had a nice day and the price of $18 on a Sunday for a HOT DEAL is excellent.

Played On 03/10/2020A Little Disappointed
I have played this course MANY times. The fairways have never been great, but this time they were really in very bad shape. I still recommend the course, but it is far from being in its best condition. Many tees were very rough. The greens were pretty nice, but seemed to be a little slow and bumpy. Hopefully the fairways will be worked on.
Scotland Yards Golf Club
Played On 03/08/2020Fun Course
This is a nice fun course to just let the ball fly. Most fairways are wide open and there are not too many trees or water hazards to worry about. Grass on the fairways is pretty sparse and they are very hard, so you get some great rollout on the drives. Tees and greens are in excellent condition, although the greens were just a bit hairy and pretty slow. Several very short par 4's are great for the ego. Prices are very good and pace of play was good. Some nice panoramic views out on the course.
Recommended.
Westchase Golf Club
Played On 10/15/2019Always Good
I play allover Pasco and Hillsborough counties and I haven't seen better and more consistent fairways than at Westchase. No need to look for a tuft of grass in the fairways-just about every lie is perfect. The greens were a little stiff and hard, but rolled quickly and true. Not as much break as you may read. ACTUAL SAND in the sand traps! Some very easy holes, some tough ones, but overall a nice mix and a very pleasant place to play.
Highly recommended.

Played On 09/10/2019Wonderful Day
I love playing here. The fairways were dry and rolled very well. My average drive was 20 to 30 yards longer than the other waterlogged courses in the area.
The greens were very hard and incoming shots of any height seemed to bounce a lot, but you can adjust for that. They rolled fairly quickly and very consistently. Lots of beautiful views here, and many wide fairways. There is some water but it really doesn't challenge you very much.
Quite a few holes without houses lining them, and even the ones that had homes were great. The houses aren't that close to the course.
This is a course I will play on a regular basis. Some tough holes, but generally quite playable for all skill levels.
Championship at Seven Springs Country Club
Played On 08/29/2019Well Kept Secret
This is a really enjoyable course. With all the difficulties other courses in the area have been having, the condition here was outstanding. VERY LITTLE sogginess. Greens were receptive but not soaked. Rolled very well. Fairways in very good condition. There were some thin spots, but again, much better than other courses I have played recently. This is an EXCEPTIONAL value on GolfNow. I'm surprised this course is so well-priced and not packed with people. It should be!

Played On 06/18/2019Nice Job
I have played here many times and this course has some interesting and challenging holes. In the 3.5 years I have been here, this is the best condition the course has been in. Reasonable amount of grass in the fairways, traps were thin but passable, but the greens are absolutely gorgeous right now. Beautiful, plush, consistent and roll well with very few blemishes. That alone was worth coming here today.
I hope they continue the good work.
Championship at Seven Springs Country Club
Played On 06/15/2019Great Little Course
I really enjoy this course. Although it is not long, many holes are challenging and you really have to think your way around. I suggest taking the golf cart past your ball in the fairway to see what you will be hitting into. Some of the water holes intrude much further into the fairway than you expect. Tees and fairways were excellent. There were some rough spots on some of the greens, but overall they were really nice as well. They ran medium to slow, but rolled very true. Luckily I wasn't in any of the many traps today, but they looked like they had ample amounts of sand.
I will be back often.

Played On 05/21/2019Impressive
The fairways, tees and greens are all in excellent condition. Very little reason to bump the ball looking for some grass. Greens were hard and pretty fast. Traps have sand! I will be back as often as possible
Bloomingdale Golfers Club
Played On 05/19/2019Great Day
Course was in very good condition. Greens were a bit hard and bouncy so it was tough to hold them, even with high shots. On the other hand, short shots rolled up onto the greens for a good result. Pace of play was a bit slow due to a large youth tournament, but it was no big deal. Looking forward to returning soon.
Northdale Golf Club
Played On 05/16/2019Nice Changes
Gotta give credit where credit is due. This course had gotten very run down. I was very pleasantly surprised today by the conditions of the tees and greens which were VERY good, and the fairways, which are GREATLY improved. If 3.5 stars was an option, that's what I would give. If things continue in this direction, it is definitely 4 stars.
There is a nice variety of holes here, and the prices are fantastic!
Cheval Golf and Athletic Club
Played On 04/30/2019Greens Need Work!
This could be a 5 star golf course if the greens were as good as most of the fairways. Also some traps had no sand in them, just a veneer of sand over packed down mud.
This course has a wonderful layout and combination of some very tough holes along with some easier ones. Driving is made a bit easier due to fairly wide fairways in most cases. They recently re-opened the 17th hole, a tough par 3. In my opinion the greens are not mature enough to resist a lot of damage. There were many ball marks and scars on this green. That's a shame.
Most of the greens were covered by a green sandy top dressing thick enough that some idiot wrote messages in them. Much of the top dressing also looked like it had bits of shells in them, creating a very bumpy path. They may have to start including a broom on the cart along with the rake.
I hope they are able to bring these greens back to where they should be. Then it would be a must-play.
Saddlebrook at Saddlebrook Golf & Tennis Resort
Played On 04/25/2019A Bit Disappointing
We have played here before. There are 2 beautiful courses in a beautiful neighborhood. The Saddlebrook course was largely deserted and we played quickly. The tees and fairways were in very good condition, worth 4 stars. But you score on the greens and in general, they were sub standard. About 1/2 the greens were in good condition, although they were very slow. But MANY of them had some sort of top dressing, were not cut and were ridiculously choppy and bumpy. There was even one hole with a temporary green. These conditions were not published on GolfNow, nor were we told before we teed off. Either they had an incredibly busy winter and the course was badly beaten up, or the maintenance was not done well enough. We play all the courses in the area, and NONE had greens as rough as some of these.
This is still a great golf destination, but you should be aware of the conditions. We played the Saddlebrook course, and it's possible that the Palmer Course may have very different conditions.
Rio Pinar Golf
Played On 04/04/2019Disappointing
This is an average golf course. Decent layout with some interesting holes. Greens were badly maintained, bumpy and grass was sparse. NO WAY the ball rolls true. Each putt was an adventure. Many small weeds dotting the surfaces. Fairways are hard as a rock and great for driving, but hard to hit off of. Some traps filled with deep soft sand, others with thin stone dust.
Not many places to lose a ball, so the slow pace of play was inexplicable.
Not the worst course I have played on recently, but definitely rated too high by others.
Heritage Harbor
Played On 02/12/2019Greens Are Great!
I play here a lot and the greens are absolutely beautiful. They are as good as I have ever seen here. Fairways are still rock hard and very thin, not much grass under a lot of the lies, so you may pick up mud on a lot of your shots. The greens get a 4+ and the fairways are a 3. They now have traps fully filled with soft sand-so they get a 4 as well.
Hi, we appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. Thank you for the 4 stars! We aim for a 5-star experience, so we always welcome feedback for improvement. Thank you for playing Heritage Isles Golf and Country Club.
