Segregansett Country Club
Played On 10/27/2017Nice course...be aware of...
You may need to wear a football helmet...played as a foursome and had one party get hit from an incoming shot after it hit the cart path...need to protect the tee boxes better is the only real thought...had 2 other shots not quite reach...else, the course was in great shape...staff just fine...some interesting holes and a few turtle greens...overall, a pleasant Friday...just use the entrance off of RTE 44 and throw GPS in trunk!

Played On 10/15/2017QUIRKY AND NEED TO KNOW THEIR DRESS CODE
When checking in with the golf pro, was advised NO CARGO shorts...but let me play anyway...
VERY TIGHT COURSE
Homes are considered 'fair game'...at least by the regulars I apparently played the round with...wound through multiple home sites, across roads, and while the course itself was in good shape, one could not see how it is possible to NOT be distracted by the close proximity of homes...
On a busy day, one could see the need for the word FORE for sure...there were holes with trees so close, one would do better with a pitching wedge to get thru(#8 I think)...
Quirky ran from the parking lot and trying to find a bag drop, no real signage, but then again, as a non member, I m not sure what I would expect...

Played On 10/04/2017Quriky
When I arrived, I recieved EXCELLENT coaching from the pro shop on how to play the course...including a map of where each tee box was...beautiful condition, good for walkers...but QUIRKY. The rules for when to use what tee box...added to the 8th and 9th holes will support this...the 8th is very long, with no real clear site of the green...the 9th has you climbing up one of two hill about 30+ feet high the first time you plan...then you go behind the hills the second time, effectively being blocked by the two mounds...fun to play and with the greens aerated, the putts still ran pretty much true(allowing for the normal bouncing)...fun day and will look to play again and bring a few cronies
Country View Golf Club
Played On 10/03/2017Started Early and finished early
partner and I were given GO AHEAD to start early and we finished early...pace of play had us done in 3 hours ...front nine just right...back nine with the GULLY requires a lay up you must set up for...following hole is over a well protected bunker...then 18th has the fastest green (sitting UP in the wind and dries out fastest due to sunlight methinks)...great day and shot the best round of the season...until 18th hole...bit me!...will play again as time goes on...front nine normal, back nine, most challenging with narrow fairways and quirky layouts...just wish the flag positions were consistent...had WHITE flags in weird placements...great course to play...
