Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan - Pine Glen
Played On 01/28/2019fun par 3 layout
Pine Glen is a fun par 3 layout. There are around four holes over 180 yards and also several 90 to 120 yard holes. Anyone would enjoy playing here.
A better player can work on their iron play and a beginner can just have fun and not be intimidated. It's a great way to get out and enjoy a day. The Singing Hills staff are always excellent.
on the way back
Eastlake is getting better with the new ownership's efforts. Fairways are excellent, bunkers still too soft (ball plugs a lot) but they still have a third of the greens that are mostly sandy and bumpy. Once the greens get improved, it will be great. It's nice to see someone put money into a course instead of closing it.
Carlton Oaks Lodge & Country Club
Played On 12/22/2018good value
Carlton Oaks is a good layout, not the longest but with mature trees and wind effecting many shots, it's a good test of golf. Bunkers still need some work for consistency, but the greens were very good. Fairways are classic Southern California, good in some spots, not in others. For a good price, I'd play it every week.
Mt. Woodson Golf Club
Played On 12/15/2018great, short layout
Mt. Woodson isn't long but don't let the yardage fool you. While you only need a driver a couple of times, distance control off the tee is most important. It's all about position and not hitting it as far as you can. It's a shorter version of Steele Canyon which is 40 minutes away. Woodson is a great day of golf in ever improving conditions. We will be back soon.
Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan - Pine Glen
Played On 12/12/2018great par 3
excellent par three course. good for a beginner and good for an experienced golfer to work on their short game.
Carlton Oaks Lodge & Country Club
Played On 12/10/2018great layout, needs some tlc
Course has a great layout, greens are good. bunkers need a lot of work but the course received rain recently which could of complicated maintenance. Employees are always nice at Carlton Oaks. Play it now for a good price, when the condition improves, it will be a great track again.

improving
Eastlake is undergoing a lot of work. all new bunkers and improving fairways. the greens are not ready, sandy and recovering from being punched. In another few weeks it should be great. the staff is always very friendly and it's one of my favorite places to play.
Cottonwood Golf Club - Ivanhoe Course
Played On 10/29/2018needs alot of TLC plus more than 1 employee
Ivanhoe is trying to make a comeback. It's no fault of the few employees they have. After closing one of their courses, they are watering the course more and it has improved. The greens are soft but decent. Fairways are getting better. The price on a hot deal is ok but be ready to be behind a local 5 or 6 some. The facilities are shot, somebody should be embarrassed. Dirty restrooms, milk crates for trashcans etc. I always try not to find fault but there are too many things to overlook.
Skamania Lodge - The Gorge 9
Played On 10/18/2018bring extra golf balls
I always love playing Skamania. It is a little tight so bring a few extra balls. The elevation changes help make it exciting. Not overly long, so anyone can play it from the correct tees. The natural beauty is spectacular. Late in the season it isn't too crowded. We had a great time there as always.
Carlton Oaks Lodge & Country Club
Played On 10/09/2018good value
Greens were very good, fairways were good considering not much rain. Bunkers are getting better. Challenging with mature trees on the back side. Great finishing par 4. Nice bar for a after round drink. No complaints here. Play it during the week and enjoy the day.
Eagle Crest Golf Club
Played On 10/07/2018great value
The course wasn't getting much play when we were there. Obviously, it's not doing much business but the employees were very nice, the greens were very good but slow. Fairways are spotting but it's Southern California and it doesn't rain. The layout is interesting, play it for a good price. Hopefully it can stay open. We had a great day there.
Thank you for the 4 star review and feedback. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
Mission Trails Golf Course
Played On 08/24/2018just golf
greens were better than in the past. a lot of blind shots, not unusual to be hit into. at a good price, play it. if you have company from out of town, try another course. mission trails has always been a locals course. the staff is friendlier than they use to be.. the course gets a lot of play due to the price. it was just golf.
good day at eastlake
play was light due to the heat, but the greens were good, new sand being installed in bunkers. Fairways are patchy but for a good price, it's a great value. The staff at Eastlake are some of the friendliest around.
I always enjoy playing there.
Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan - Oak Glen
Played On 07/19/2018good day of golf
oak glen is a fun course, not the hardest, but between wind and mature trees, it's a good test. bunkers are very good, the greens rolled well considering they are very spongy. oak glen is often looked upon as the lesser course to willow glen, but I enjoy it just as much.
Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan - Willow Glen
Played On 07/04/2018good layout
willow glen is a good layout, wind and trees play into this course. good bunker condition, sand on the par 3's are deep and soft. greens are sponging but quick and true. willow is a good test of golf. I always enjoy playing there.
good value
Eastlake staff is always friendly. The layout isn't the toughest but with the wind, the backside will challenge you. The bunkers need work as most courses seem too, but all said, for at a good price Eastlake is a great day of golf.
South at Admiral Baker Golf Course
Played On 06/23/2018good value
Baker south is the easier of the two courses, but with small greens by today's standards, your chipping game needs to be on. Even being a short course, your greens in regulation might be low. There's a little hardpan in the fairways, but all things considered, the course is in good shape. The facilities are very nice and with a great pace of play for a Saturday, we really enjoyed our day/
Carlton Oaks Lodge & Country Club
Played On 05/03/2018good value
Good design, improving conditions. Bunkers are still an issue. Greens are much better than in the past. The fairways will always be inconsistent and won't improve as the weather heats up. Great value, great design, wind will always test your ball striking here. Playing Carlton Oaks will make a lot of other courses seem easy. I enjoy it.
good course, slow play
always have enjoyed playing Eastlake. Staff is very friendly and the other golfers tend to be easy going.
the bunkers are rock hard in most places, but the greens were good and overall, the course is in good shape. Slow play was the only problem we ran into. The last 12 holes played very slow. Could never tell what the problem was, but otherwise a great day.
nice course with friendly people
We have played here several times, 6 or 8 times per year. The fairways were the lushest we've ever seen them. Bunkers are so so and the greens are coming back nicely from aeriation. Pace of play was good for a weekend afternoon. The small restaurant at the turn is always stocked well and has a great staff as does the pro shop.
