Great greens (golfers actually fix their ball marks here)
The staff here is so good. The ruff is a little high so if your in it good luck. A few sprinkler heads on the greens but not bad. The place is a great layout. Keep it in the fairway and you can score here. Everything is green and well kept. There are 5 courses here. One for children/ seniors so much fun! You won't find a better place than here. Shawn
not worth the money
course was in pretty bad shape. not worth the 30.00 dollars compared to other courses I've played for less
Surprising course
This was the first time i played Emerald Woods and I played the Pine Valley/St Andrews course. The difficulty of the course surprised me. It is very narrow and some of the tee shots have to be hit through a small opening. I think if played a few times you would know where to hit the ball because of the blind shots. I recommend if your up for a challenge.
Overall fun to play.
Greens in great shape but cart paths need work. Landscape maintenance has improved and fairways in good shape.
not bad if you get a golfnow deal
My son and I played 18 holes Wednesday morning. Course was in pretty decent shape. GREENS AS SLOW AS MY LIVING ROOM CARPET! The grass was green, but probably because it wasn't mown as tightly as it could be. We paid 12$ a piece on golf now.com hot deal tee time. Any golf is OK for that price, but bunkers all had standing water in them., and sprinkler heads right in the center of the greens!!!!
Bad course design
way too many blind shots. No hole designs on tee box. hard to tell which way holes are. not very good markings at all.
Pine Valley / St. Andrews
Pine Valley / St. Andrews is a solid track and a good value for the money. Conditions are average but improving. The greens aren't the fastest but are in good shape. I really enjoy playing here and think this course is underrated.
Great Day even with the rain!
Great day, played 18 holes, was happy they let the carts go out. Some of the greens were pretty wet, but after flooding rains the rest of the course was in very good condition. Great deal overall!
The only suggestion is that if you haven't played before it was sometimes hard to tell where the greens were from the tee, perhaps better maps on the scorecard.
GOOD DEAL
THE 4 OF US PLAYED 18 HOLES ON AUDERY & HEATHER. FAIRWAYS & GREENS WERE IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. WE WILL BE BACK AGAIN!!!!
Bait and Switch
They take your money then when you get to the course they use the bait and switch. You book the better 18 holes and told when you arrive their is leagues playing on those courses and you can play the terrible courses. This is highly illegal and bad business, even if you have 36 holes of golf course this is not good business practice. They know when there is leagues booked and yet they advertise the good 18 still available. Bad....sorry I will not book anymore tee times at your course. Good luck with the Ohio Attorney General on the Bait and Switch you do !
Nice course but
The course was in decent condition, however, the fairways were almost as long as the rough.
Fun course.
Overall I had a great exsperience at emerald woods.zach was very helpful. And the young lady at the counter was very kind. The one thing That did bother me was the cartpaths. If they were fixed up which I know it could cost alot it wouKd be perfect.
Rainy day...
The weather was against us, but the course held up well. Played Audrey/Heatherstone in 45f and sprinkles all day. No bounce of the fairways, but they didn't get buried. The rough and fairways were long because nothing had been cut in four or five days due to the daily rain. Overall, the staff was super friendly, the food was good, called early from the 8th hole so no waiting. The course conditions were better than expected given the rain. The long grass mounds were a good way, as usual, for losing balls
Dog Track
Look up dog track in the dictionary and a picture of this place is what should show up. I've played a lot of garbage golf courses in my life but this one takes the cake. Let's talk about the features - sprinkler heads in the middle of the greens, fairways where the only differentiation between the rough is the fact that the clover / weeds doesn't totally cover your ball or my personal favorite the sight of one of the mowers taking a 4 minute urination on the 14th tee box. I honestly thought about filing a theft report at the local police department because this course charging over $30 is theft. Don't go there, you'll be massively disappointed.
An good average course
It is good course to try. I believe they have five 9 holes choices as well as challenges. Pick the ones that fits your game.
Had 2 eight people playing on the same hole in front of else on the back nine . Held us up for 20 min. On every hole . Called the front deck and said
They will send someone out ..... It never happen .......6 hours to play 18! Will never play there again......stick it . Don't play there. You won't like it!
Heather stone
Good course. From the blue it's crazy long. From the whites it's perfect. The new pro is getting this place in shape and adding new things try it out. You will be surprised
this is a nice course but a little overpriced
considering the weather in april the course was in very good condition. it would have been nice if we had been notified that the 17th hole was using an alternate green. other than that a nice place to play. not too difficult but not overly easy.
Glad I finally went!
I had seen this course listed for a long time and I finally decided to go ahead and give this course a try. I played the two easiest of the five 9-hole courses they have and had a blast. The greens were freshly repaired so the irrigation holes were still all over the greens but that did not hinder putting too much. I plan on visiting soon and playing some of the other three courses. Definitely a place to put on your must play list if you like visiting different facilities in the area, you will not be disappointed, and the staff is amazingly friendly.
Plenty of choice for your money.
The course was still quite damp with dew, given that we teed off at 7:40 am. With that understanding, it was very very wet. The first 9 holes, putting was impossible. Even still, the course played wonderfully. The gentleman at the clubhouse was quite cordial and overall it was a very nice experience.
I had the same experience out there, specifically on St. Andrews, the rough was long and fairways was just as long. Pine Valley was still not opened yet when I play, don't know if that has changed yet.
