Hillcrest Golf Club

I would recommend anyone who likes playing golf. Today was the slowest it has ever been. Barely finished in 4.5 hours. To many people on the course at one time. Not many water hazards, pretty straight course

Playing as good as it has since its Prime. The Greens are in Great Shape, the Fairways are Nice and well Marked. Appreciate the Hard Work being Put in to Maintain the Turf! Great Place for a quick round in Findlay.

Patchy dead grass everywhere from tee to green, even in the rough, absolutely horrible. Forced my twosome to play with two others, completely unacceptable. Will not be going back to this course, there’s plenty of other very nice courses in the area.

We passed very good time, but the raining catch us at the hole 15....

Tee boxes where nice and full just hard as a rock. Fairways where blotchy with big spots of dead grass. Other than those 2 cons, all 18 of the greens where beautiful soft and quick. Worth the hot deal on a Saturday. Paid $28.

The golf now tee times don't match the courses tee times. I purchased a tee time on golf now, drove 50 mins to the course, and they told us that we couldn't play. The staff talked to us like we were dumb. I tried to go again later because I never played the course and I really wanted to try it out. Well...Same thing . this time I called ahead and let them know which golf now tee time that I was about to select. They said they couldn't get me out at that time, and that I would have to pay the regular course weekend price to play. Why have tee times available online if the time isn't available. Just another greedy, money hungry golf course. All about the money, not the customers

This is the second year under new ownership and when purchased I wouldn’t have given the course a three star rating. But, under the new ownership of Mr Clouse it has probably improved two stars. I’m sure most of all golf fees are reinvested back into course improvements. I look forward and predict that within two more years at this pace it will become a 4.5 to a 5 star course .
The ownership is the most personable of any course I’ve been to and everyone is always greeted with smiling eyes and a pleasant voice. I’d say everyone is greeted with a smiling face, but with everyone having to wear a COVID mask it’s impossible to tell.
This course needs to go on your NW Ohio golf schedule.

I enjoyed playing it but I’ll probably only play it once.

We had this same issue last year and it upset us, said we were done until next year and so today was next year. We caught a 6 person group on hole 13, we're walking twosome and they never offered to let us play through. Saturday 80 degrees on a packed course and they let this happen. I'm thinking this course needs a ranger real bad or the clubhouse should have never let this happen off the 1st tee. Maybe next year we can try again or maybe we stay closer to home and learn our lesson.,

5 some slowed play on front had to skip 4 to hole 7 then rest of round went smoothly. Until we went back to play 4-7 and there was a 2 some with one bag chunking it left right left until they finally let us play through on 7. Overall satisfied and course looked and played great.

Greens are in great shape but fairways, rough and tee boxes need water!
