About
Formerly known as Greenville Country Club, Turtle Creek Golf Course has been around since 1921, making it one of the area's oldest courses. Despite its long history, the relatively unknown course is known as one of the Miami Valley's best-kept secrets. It has a traditional layout that sprawls across acres of lush countryside, situated just outside of Greenville. The landscape is fairly wooded, requiring a bit of accuracy in order to maneuver through some of the narrow openings provided by the trees. There is a stream meandering across the golf course that comes into play on several holes. A few strategically placed bunkers also lurk around some of the greens. Turtle Creek Golf Course is player friendly enough for beginners but it is still an interesting round for more advanced players.

Beautiful course
Fairways in great condition. Greens were fast and in great condition. Overall a very good experience. Will not hesitate to play here again
What a great day!
It is always fun to play this course. It is in very good shape and being out early allowed us to play in under 3 and a half hours.

Enjoyable day
Course is in good shape (greens could have been cut...a little slow) and as a 2 some played in 3 1/4 hrs. and paid $10. What more could you ask for except to shoot under par....which did not happen. Always enjoy playing here....no exception this time.

The fairways were beautifully taken care of the rough wasn't real long (player friendly) the greens were very nice and the sand traps nicely taken care of overall beautiful course.

Early fall day with low humidity and brilliant sunshine made for a wonderful day of golf at Turtlle Creek. A well groomed, challenging course. The greens were immaculate and quite tricky. The fairways were beautiful. The course has a nice unusual layout.
The Thirsty Turtle Lounge makes for a perfect way to have a beverage and discuss your game afterwards!!!
call ahead....leagues
course in great shape. Due to leagues and high school match we had to play front 9 twice....Didnt care for that at all....Be advised to call ahead if scheduling an after 2pm tee time.

I love playing at Turtle Creek. It's the best course around. Friendly staff, course is in great shape, and wonderful people.
Hidden Gem
A lot of people do not realize that this is a public course. The staff is awesome and friendly. The course is in great condition.
Great Course
This course is a very nice public course, and for a great price. Course was very well maintaned, and the staff was very friendly. I have played public courses all over Columbus, Cincinnati, and Dayton, and this is a top 3 for one of my public course favorites.

Very Impressed
I have long awaited teeing it up at Purgatory and was very glad I decided to snag the "Hot Deal" this afternoon. Course was not nearly as wet as I suspected (rain for the past 3 days), most greens had some minor loose impediments (dry worms, small ant hills) but still very true and receptive to approach shots. Playing this course from the tips in soft conditions, combined with 35mph+ wind gusts (could not play with hat on, kept blowing off) easily makes today's round one of the most challenging I have ever played (former collegiate golfer). The clubhouse is simply stunning, in and out. I truly enjoyed the challenge, will definitely return and highly recommend.

Had a great time course is beautiful. Groups in front of us played a lot slow but it was only on back nine.
Very interesting
Even though the weather was less than ideal we had a great time and I thought the course was well maintained and offered a great but manageable challenge.
