Well staffed
Overall had a great time. Staff was great and saw plenty of rangers out on the course. Tee boxes still need some work but nothing that wasn't playable. Only problem we had all day was a group in front of us on the front was a 4 some with 3 bags. Shouldn't be aloud to do this, the rangers had to see this and said nothing. Took us almost twice as long to play the front as it did the back because of this. Overall it was a very good course and for the price paid we couldn't beat it.
4 nines so pace of play good
really like the course, in decent shape but not great shape but it is still early in the season, have four courses so you can play a couple of times and always be playing a new nine, is a bit longer of a course so play the appropriate tees for a better experience
This course has 4 nine holes with each somewhat different
Course has some challenging holes even for the long hitter Senior challenges are also great
Nice course, well maintained
This course was in good shape for the season. Good mix of easy holes and challenging holes.
Fun golf course, should be in great shape this summer.
Came through the winter well. Greens are healthy and should be in great shape this summer. Fairways are spotty but if you bump it you can find good grass to hit off. Definately should play it at least once. Staff is very friendly and helpful and beers were only a buck!!!!!
Very nice 36 hole course. Very challenging.
The course was in great shape for the end of March. The pace was extremely slow due to "cart path only". Great value, and a good time.
Superb greens...
I gained my first hole-in-one on this course during my GolfNow round. It will forever be a favorite. The greens were in superb shape considering it is still winter.
Nice for the off season.
We enjoyed the course. Pace of play was fine, blue and white tees were mixed but that's ok. Had a great time and look forward to playing there again.
Needs work
All fairways were dead grass. This course needs some help.
The course has a huge upside with some investment in maintenance
WE played Meadows and Valley View. Meadows greens were good but Valley View greens were very spotty. Neither fairways were in good shape considering the amount of rain we have had in the area this summer. Many bare spots. All in all it was not bad if played by winter rules in the middle of the summer
Unfortunately, with the extremely dry weather the course was very dried out. The pond were all too shallow to water.
My wife and I truly enjoy the course. Normally, the fairways, greens and tees are green and tender. We drive down from the Dayton Mall area and enjoy the peaceful drive down the back roads.
This course was a great disappointment.
The harsh Midwestern summer has not been good to Weatherwax. The golf course was in horrible condition when we played. Most of the grass was dead and the greens were weedy. The fairways were rock hard. Most of the time we were hitting off of dead grass or dirt. The irrigation must not have been working except in a few areas. In short, it was like playing in a barren field. I would not return to Weatherwax nor would I encourage others to play the course. I seriously wonder if it will be possible to bring the course back without a complete make-over.
Great Value for the area
The fairways & greens were in outstanding shape. Had the ability to play all 4 of the separate 9 holes courses offered this weekend. Found each to have there own distinct features & challenges.
Great quality
My only problem was the weather, course was gorgeous and well maintained. Nice clubhouse. Pretty much whatever a golfer could ask for. Loved this course.
