Very nice
With four 9's had ability to move groups to help pace of play. As a twosome starter was going to get us in front of 4 that had time before us but no go. So he moved us to another two 9"s and we went around in 3 1/2 hours and there were other groups on same nines. And there was no need for marshals to keep the pace. Course gives you plenty of room to play, yes rough, but you can find ball so groups aren't spending time looking for balls.
well maintained fair course
would go back, very nice course, staff could be friendlier and faster but the on course team was very nice.
Course length makes it challenging. Course condition made it fun.
Fairways and greens were in excellent condition. It is important to stay in the fairways as it is easy to lose balls in the thick rough. Greens were moderately fast with enough contour to make you think. Overall a very good course.
Great course to play!
Definitely worth time and money. fairways in great shape, greens challenging and fun, staff friendly, I could not be happier! Took a friend from out of town and he was very impressed with the layout. I will without question be back this year. If you like to Grip and Rip, play Woodside and Meadows for these two 9 hole courses are a little longer!
Everthing was there.
When I go there everything was ready as I expected.
Carts were new and easy to ride.
Green was in good shape and fairway.
the course looks and plays great.
course has come along way from last season. upkeep is on task for the summer season. great job!
good course for the price
Course was in good shape, not great. They did have a lot of rain the night before so it was cart path only.
It is a good and challenging course. The grass was a little high but that could had been as a result of all the rain we had.
First time I played this course and hope to play it again.
Great value for the money
I have played this course numerous times over the years. The fairways were in decent shape especially considering the rain we had over the weekend. Some of the greens need some seeding, although it is still early in the season. I do have 1 complaint. The rough grass was too high in spots. Its not good when you have to look for your ball just a couple yards off the fairway.
Course was in great shape, but due to heavy rain the week prior, the rough was really tall...Like Players Championship tall.
Staff was very gracious considering we were a half hour late for our tee time, which included a bucket of range balls. We called ahead to let them know we were running a little behind, and they did not give us any hassle. We got to warm up on the range, and they got us out right after we were done. It was our first time playing the course, and we really enjoyed it. Tough layout, great grooming in the sand traps, and challenging pin placements made for a good time. Due to the rain the week prior, the rough was like 5-6 in. tall, so you definitely wanted to stay out of it. That would be my only complaint, but with as much rain as we had you can only mow so much. It was great overall
Nice course, great staff!
The staff was very courteous. We played after several nights of rain so the course was very wet, but still was okay. Looking forward to playing again when the conditions are better.
Great course for the average golfer.
It might be a little long when the conditions are soft. Biggest drawback is it quite a ways off the freeway with a lot of turns, so it isn't conducive for a quick round since there are other courses closer. But hey, there isn't much they can do about that.
They have 36 holes pace of play is good.
The course was not very busy however greens are fast, but rough is to high which could slow play.
Course was in great shape and the variety in the different holes was very rewarding.
I am an average golfer (14 handicap) and played with a beginner. The course had just experienced some rain and so everything was green. The rough was unusually thick (but cut at a good height) probably due to the rain. Fairways and greens were excellent. Sand was in good shape as well--not like some courses where it has gotten hard over winter. I like that you play two of the four nine hole courses--it kept pace of play manageable. I look forward to going back and playing the other two nine hole courses.
City of Middletown municiple course
1st visit. Staff friendly, nice driving range. The rough was brutal. There is no 1st or 2nd cut, just 4" deep rough.. If you are not in the fairway, you will probably lose a ball in the rough. Some of the greens had bare spots but for the most part they were true. Maybe they cut the rough for the weekends ?
Challenging course in great condition
Played Valley View and Woodside (9-holes each with two additional 9-hole courses, Meadows and Highlands). The course was in phenomenal shape and hole locations were well placed. Would definitely recommend this course to anyone I know.
Best Munci in the area...plus there are 36-holes! Not very accessible
Best Munci in the area...plus there are 36-holes! Not very accessible. Classic munci traffic, therefore may play slow.
Four individual nine hole courses for a lot of options.
Very nice course and club house. Fairways and greens in good shape. No mercy if you miss fairway, the first and only cut is thick, luscious and long. The ball could drop an inch or so below the surface. You could lose a ball just out of the fairway which did happen. This course will get you to hit a little shorter and straighter as the penalty of missing the fairway is greater than having a shorter shot that i could not get to the green. Well groomed but very hard to get a club through it. Will be back to try it again.
looked great ..hopefully summer is kind to them this year
Course is in great shape..Played Meadows/Highlands. rough was thick and everything was green.
Past few years during our long hot summers the course has gotten beat up..so play it early this year and enjoy. Hopefully we have better summer weather for all the courses this summer.
